Trying A New Diner: La Guardida

After my hiatus, I am back and for this blog, I will share today's food trip.

I guess the marketing on Facebook was effective because it drove us to this new diner. This sits just in front of the university so it's reachable, given the pricey fare, we don't need to go far away.

We waited for the food for around 25 minutes, I think. Let me share to you my review (char).

We ordered different foods from the menu and I got to have a taste with almost all of it.

Since I love pasta, I ordered mac and cheese with chicken. I expected there'll be carbonara or lasagna but there's none. I guess its price is just fine. Though I think the pasta was overcooked. There's enough serving anyway so it's okay.

I loved the pancakes! Maybe because I'm really a pancake, crepe, and waffle lover. The puree and the cream cheese is also good.

For these chicken dishes, I just think it needs to be juicier. I like the honey lemon glaze chicken more than the buttered one, even though I would die for butter (char). Additionally, maybe it's better to just put it in a normal plate.

The diner is not very spacious. They did a good job in maximizing the space. I like the wall paint colors. Maybe a little dose of indoor plants like snake plants would make it better.

Overall, they still need a room for improvement with the food and the interiors of the diner. This is understandable though and I think is quite normal. They also have to expand the menu and put the actual pictures of the food on the menu because I swear it helps.

New businesses do really make a few changes in order to make the customers keep coming back. The location is fantastic so they must take advantage of it.

It is anyway worth a try. If you've got a good company then I swear it would make the food better.
