It's been a busy week, but I'm back with another delicious post. Interestingly, the size of the area didn't matter. Nimman, Chiang Mai is not that big but there are still surprises here and there.
Just like this place we accidentally found while heading to the famous spot next to it. We were originally going to Healthy Junk, a great hub for healthy yet delicious food lovers. While walking there, our eyes got caught with this place. From the outside, I didn't even realize it was a restaurant. The cool illustration of a Japanese-looking guy eating curry intrigued me to check it out.
Inside, we discovered it's a Japanese curry place. It's quite small with only one table and two sides of seats. There's a barrier in the middle of the table. The place has dim lighting and a minimal setup. The menu is small but inviting.
We visited more than once cause we found it really good. Plus, it's within walking distance from our dispensary.
We ordered curry, deep-fried shrimp cake, and A&W root beer, yes! they got that! Lovely!
The curry's unique taste, slightly tangy and sour, stood out. That's what got me coming back for more and more I think. We had different types of meat on top, like fried pork (tonkutsu style) and beef. The curry itself and the perfectly cooked rice were excellent.
The shrimp cake was also top-notch, crispy outside and soft inside with plenty of shrimp.
This place is a must-visit for Japanese curry in the Nimman area. I adore the setup, food, price, and overall experience. Totally recommend it. Feel free to drop by our dispensary, just a short 5-minute walk away!

My weakness is catch a glimpse of delicious food and suddenly feel hungry in the middle of the night. Haha
