Summertime, of course, also means barbecue time. July 21 is the national holiday in Belgium. So almost nobody has to work that day. This allowed us to have a nice cozy barbecue with some friends the day before, monday evening. Entirely according to the rules of the social distance, the delicacy on the barbecue was prepared by the chef on duty.

In the meantime we could enjoy a nice starter of squid, breaded mussels with homemade tartar sauce.

Afterwards a tasty snack, a homemade zucchini soup. Yummie!

Once the meat, vegetables and potatoes were ready, we could indulge in all that goodness.

Of course there was also some delicious barley juice ...

I really shouldn't tell you that it was a very successful evening, right? Worth repeating!
