RE: Baking Soda Biscuits

in Foodies Bee Hive6 months ago

The moderators cautioned me that they wanted to see me making the items so I took a video while making the biscuit and cut out images from that :) Getting on the moderator bad side isn't a great idea when I'm trying to make a good impression

In case you are curious I'm adding the prices because my goal by the end of the year is to have recipes that give maximum nutrition, cover all vitamins, minerals and macronutrients at the absolute lowest possible cost. I know the community is about the best dishes but I'm hoping they will bear with me as I'm trying to make the best nutrition at the best price while still making something the family will eat.

If you are a little allergic to gluten perhaps I'll send along a recipe for cookies (or maybe biscuits) which use Okara (a high protein flour made from soy bean). I haven't figured out an easy way to get rid of the flour but with Okara at least I can limit the quantity while also increasing fiber and protein without compromising taste 😉

As for the cola...My son more or less said WTF! when he saw Pepsi going into the biscuit. I just figured less sugar and get the acid I needed plus drink the rest :) Why not? He scolded me and said next time use lemon juice (except I ran out making hummus)... and I'll save the vinegar until I can figure out how to make it on my own.

Thanks for the support and comments I really do appreciate it.
