Deep Fried Fruit Pie
Last night I had some extra Egg roll wrappers left over and decided to put them to use by making little fruit pies. These were fast, easy, and tasty!
Ingredients:
1 can of Fruit Pie filling (whatever type you like)
1 Pkg Egg Roll Wrappers
1/4 cup Powdered Sugar (for dusting)
Small bowl of water for sealing the egg roll wrapper
Directions:
So basically you are going to place a large spoonful of the pie filling in the center of the egg roll wrapper
Then you are going to begin the rolling process
Roll until just the end is exposed, this is where you want to dip your fingers into the water and dab on to the unrolled end so that you can finish rolling, allowing the end to seal and none of the filling escapes into the hot oil.
Complete the rolling process and move on to the next wrapper and filling.
Heat your oil in either a deep fryer or a pan of oil on the stove.
Once the oil is heated, carefully slide in two of the little rolled pies at a time so that the frying process isn't diminished.
The pies will be ready to remove from the oil when they are a dark golden brown.
Shake the powdered sugar over the top and allow them to cool a bit (these are incredibly hot, so please don't burn yourself or blister your mouth by trying to consume them too soon after frying.
Fast and Tasty!
Enjoy!
