Hey Hive!
Now that a lot of people here have already gotten vaccinated, I'm very happy to hear that Singapore is now allowing in-house dining again, and now they've eased up on restrictions so that group dining is possible too! But for convenience, we tend to order takeaways from nearby places since we can eat in the comfort of our own home.
The other day though, Sean decided to order delivery from Wingstop! He'd tried it before when he went out for dinner with his colleagues but I never got to try their wings before so he thought it'd be a good chance for me to try it!

I'm pretty sure many people have heard of Wingstop before; it's a well known Texas-based buffalo-style chicken wing restaurant franchise that actually started in 1994 and now have over 1,500 restaurants around the world!
They have a set meal for 10 wings and a few sides so Sean got 2 flavours of wings for us to try and got their hand-cut seasoned fries for sides!
What's special about Wingstop is that they actually have boneless wings! I'm actually not a big fan of chicken wings because of the bone so I prefer the thighs whenever we eat chicken, but Sean likes wings so it works out. But for this I didn't have to worry since he ordered the boneless wings!
The one on the left is the Lemon Pepper flavour while the darker one with more sauce is Hickory Smoke BBQ! They smelled and tasted soo good!
Here were the special hand cut seasoned fries that were actually really tasty!
We actually ate this with some leftover fried rice that Sean didn't finish for his lunch. Sorry about the weird angle.
But back to the chicken. The Hickory Smoke BBQ was sweet and salty, and definitely had that slightly smoky flavour. When I heard it was BBQ I thought it would be too sweet or overpowering and wasn't too keen on it since I'm not a fan of BBQ sauce but this was actually perfect! The blend of spices they used provided just the right amount of flavour and really enhanced the chicken which was nice and tender and crispy still despite the sauce.
The Lemon Pepper chicken was a little more simple compared to the BBQ one and tasted just like its name; a little zesty lemon mixed with cracked black pepper. It wasn't overpowering either, but just the right amount of both and it worked well with the juicy fried chicken. It was simple, but still delicious!
The fries were also perfectly seasoned. They were crisp on the edges, with enough salt and pepper and a little spice that they didn't need any additional sauce. Normally we would dip them in chili sauce but that wasn't needed at all because they were perfect on their own! Definitely one of the best fries I've had from a fast food restaurant I think.
Overall, a very delicious meal indeed! I think they're normally quite pricey so I'm glad I got to try them at least once. It's pretty worth it in my opinion, and a totally different taste compared to KFC or any other chicken place we've tried. Maybe we'll try their other flavours next time!
