Panama's Delectable Delights

in Foodies Bee Hive3 years ago (edited)

Traveling to Panama is always a delightful experience especially dining out for lunch or dinner to enjoy the local cuisine.

I always enjoy visiting the La Sirena restaurant down on the causeway in Panama City. You get to enjoy the wonderful views of the city and the marinas. On this day I was with my son and his wife enjoying the best meal of my trip. Enjoy the mouthwatering photos of the local seafood from the enormous platter I ordered. Oh my!

Seafood Platter

My jaw dropped when the waiter placed this platter in front of me. I could not believe the variety of seafood not to forget the plantains too. I thought I would never be able to eat that much in one sitting, but to my surprise, I did finish all of it.

Sea Bass & Fried Squid

To my surprise, I really enjoyed the squid fried. That was the first time I have ever had it that way.

Oysters & Shrimp

I am not a fan of oysters so my son Randy Hilarski had to help me out with those, lol. I hope you enjoyed seeing this awesome seafood platter and will share some more of my visit to this great country.

Who doesn't like oysters? Everything on that platter looks so delicious, if I were you, I wouldn't share!! I love seafood 😋

Thanks for the comment. I had a bad experience with them when I was younger and have never wanted any since then.

Wow, those are some massive plates of food! I am glad you like seafood as I would have passed. 😂 Ha! We usually have our kids with us when we travel to Panama City, so we end up at the mall eating fast food. I usually want Taco Bell since it is so rarely seen here! Are the Hilarski's back in Panama?

I know how that goes when you have kids and I love Taco Bell too. Yes, they are in Panama but only for a few more weeks, and then they are going to be traveling again.

Ah nice! We met them in Panama City pre-Covid times, back when we were both with Steemit. Traveling sure sounds fun!

I didn't know the Hilarski's were in Panama. I thought they moved on long ago. See how much I know?

I cannot believe you have never had fried calamari! You are from New York, yes? It is probably one of my absolute favorite seafood, along with lobster, crabs, and fish in general... Oh, and clams. I love seafood. :)

I do love Panama and even though I thought about moving there, because Panama!! but, since the pandemic, nowhere except here feels right. I know I will get over that. :)

Thanks for the seafood show! It is always a hit with me!

Hi Denise, yea the Hilarski's home base has always been Panama but they do love to travel. Sometimes for months at a time but they will always live in Panama as long as the restrictions don't get too bad. Next month they will be off on another grand adventure while they are young enough to enjoy it to the fullest. lol

Now that I see your yummi photos I want move to Panama!!😍

It looks delicious
