Hello Gourmets.
The heat of summer has begun to overwhelm many of us. I live in one of the countries where the mask requirement continues, especially because of the corona. It's hard for me to wear a mask with the overwhelming heat. Also, I'm struggling with the evaporation of my glasses. I know there are people out there who have these problems like me. You are not alone in this!

I don't like the summer months because of my heat and sweating problems. I must say that I am a first spring and last spring person. I focus on finding solutions for the sweltering temperatures in June and August. I prefer to consume refreshing things whenever I can. Today I prepared myself a refreshing drink. We use this drink with meals. Its name in our country is "CACIK". Actually, it is not a soup, but I wrote it as soup in the title because it has the consistency of soup. I didn't know what to make of it when I was telling you about it. So I thought it would be appropriate for me to call it soup.

Let's move on to a practical soup recipe that will refresh you, without taking too much of your time and without using too many ingredients?

1 Piece Cucumber
1 Cup of Yogurt
Salt
Dried Mint
1 Clove of Garlic

Wash and peel the cucumbers. Do not peel off all the bark. Make sure to do it intermittently. Then grate the salad.

Add the grated salad, yogurt and grated garlic to a deep bowl. Mix the ingredients with a spoon. Let the yogurt spread evenly on all sides. Although it is not recommended to eat garlic in summer, I love garlic in this soup. Garlic is what gives the soup its flavor. If you don't like garlic (like my mother) then you can not add garlic.

Add salt and mint. You can add fresh mint leaves if you wish. I added it as I have dried mint at home but I would add it if it was fresh.

Then add 1.5 cups of water and mix well. I generally like thick consistency, so I prefer to add less water. On the contrary, my father likes the consistency more watery. That's why the soup has a slightly watery consistency.

Result!

Reminds me of Indian raita, something very nice to cool the fire of a spicy meal. A friendly hint - yogurt isn't vegan, so I wouldn't recommend the #plantbased or #vegan tags on this one.

I do tags automatically so I didn't notice. I have now deleted the vegan and plant based tag🙏
