Hoy se come a lo mexicano | Mexican food today

La comida mexicana es muy variada y atractiva, personalmente yo no he viajado a México, pero siempre me he interesado en probar estos exquisitos platos que se hacen llamar mexicanos. Pero que hechos en Venezuela no deben ser iguales, sin embargo, es un buen abrebocas para lo que he de degustar en tierras mexicanas cuando tenga la oportunidad de ir.

Mexican food is very varied and attractive, personally I have not traveled to Mexico, but I have always been interested in trying these exquisite dishes that call themselves Mexican. But that made in Venezuela should not be the same, however, is a good appetizer for what I have to taste in Mexican lands when I have the opportunity to go.

En mi casa siempre preparamos estas fajitas mexicanas para simular unos tacos deliciosos, cada quien hace su parte, mi hermana las fajitas, mi mamá la salsa picante y así cada quien pone su granito de arena.

Los ingredientes para la masa son muy sencillos:

Usamos 1 taza de harina de trigo mas 2 tazas de harina de maíz, mas 2 tazas de agua.

In my house we always prepare these Mexican fajitas to simulate delicious tacos, everyone does their part, my sister the fajitas, my mom the hot sauce and so everyone does their bit.

The ingredients for the dough are very simple:

We use 1 cup of wheat flour plus 2 cups of corn flour, plus 2 cups of water.

La preparación es mucho mas sencilla: mezclamos todo de forma homogénea y tratamos de que esta quede bien consistente y suave.

Luego tomamos una porción y la moldeamos hasta lograr la forma de fajita que deseamos, delgaditas y redonditas, pueden usar una base plana de forma que se les haga mas fácil. Una vez hechas las colocamos en una plancha a fuego lento, y le damos vuelta de manera que quede doradita por ambos lados.

The preparation is much simpler: we mix everything homogeneously and try to make it consistent and smooth.

Then we take a portion and mold it until we get the fajita shape we want, thin and round, you can use a flat base to make it easier. Once they are done, place them on a griddle over low heat, and turn them so that they are golden brown on both sides.

Para el relleno:

Usamos carne salteada, vegetales, aceite, mojito.

For the filling:

We used sautéed meat, vegetables, oil, mojito.

Ya lista nuestras fajitas, rellenarlas es muy fácil, podemos hacerlo con los ingredientes de nuestra preferencia, aquí podemos ponernos lo mas creativo que nos sea posible, usando carne o pollo o simplemente vegetales. Es algo maravilloso que se puedan formar tantas combinaciones.

Now that our fajitas are ready, filling them is very easy, we can do it with the ingredients of our preference, here we can get as creative as possible, using meat or chicken or simply vegetables. It is wonderful that so many combinations can be formed.

Disfrutamos nuestras fajitas a lo mexicano con una buena salsa picante que mi mamá hace con aji rojo, y queda deliciosa. No estamos en mexico pero amamos la comida mexicana.

We enjoy our fajitas Mexican style with a good hot sauce that my mom makes with aji rojo, and it is delicious. We are not in Mexico but we love Mexican food.
