Dear Hive friends,
Today I am going to demonstrate how to prepare a nutritious Tender Jackfruit Curry.( PolosAmbula).
This Tender Jackfruit was plucked from a tree in my garden as shown in the picture.
Ingredients
Half a tender Jackfruit
1/4 small B.Onion chopped
Small pieces of ginger crushed
2 cloves of Garlic crushed
15 nos of curry leaves
2 pieces of pandon leaves
Small pieces cinnamon
1 table spoon roasted curry powder
1/4 tea spoon turmeric
1 tea spoon salt
2 cloves of goraka
1/2 tea spoon home made special curry powder
150 ml thin coconut milk
150 ml thick coconut milk
3 table spoons of oil
Method
As shown in the picture cut the Jackfruit in to pieces wash it well and put it to a pan.
Now add water till the pieces are covered. Then add goraka and half a tea spoon of salt and leave it to boil.
For this process I used the pressure cooker. Once it is boiled transfer to a bowl. As shown in the picture remove the skin and cut it in to pieces.
Now add roasted curry powder, special home made curry powder, balance salt and tumaric.
Mix it well.
Now keep a pan on the stove and pour the oil.
Now add the Jackfruit mixture.
Add thin coconut milk and mix it well and keep it for few minutes.
When the gravy is reducing add thick coconut milk and stir the mixture. Reduce the fire and leave it to simmer.
When it is ready take it down.
Put it to a curry bowl and send it to the table.
My dear friends,
Jackfruit is known to be the largest edible fruit in the world. It is rich in nutrients including carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, minerals and iron.
And also it increases breast milk production. This is why the Jackfruit is so healthy.
Thank you very much for using your valuable time for reading this.
May God bless you and have a good day.
When the oil is heated add crushed ginger, crushed garlic and mix it well and add B,onion , cinnamon pieces, curry leaves and pandon leaves. (
