Today is a nice day to harvest some Taro it's quite chilly and I seriously love this kind of weather. There's a light rain this morning but its really light but still enough to make the surrounding colder.

I am just glad I have someone here who's a cuddle bear, her fur is keeping me warm and I'll keep this if only her fur is not bad for my nose. Haha. I let her stayed there until I finish breakfast, lol. Seriously, she act as if she wasn't well fed but 4:30 am and she's already having a cat food, and its just her snacks. She had breakfast at 6:30 am after that, lol.

Moving on, let's talk about the Taro now, lol. Of course if we harvested some Taro, we should cook it too no? Mama has complete ingredients all ready for the dish she's planning to make ♪ \(^ω^\ )

But here's the harvested Taro. She didn't pick much and its not like we have a lot of it in the yard. Its full of dirt so mama has to wash them thoroughly.

Next is peeling the skin of its stem then cutting them. Mama did all the work coz I don't really know what to do here. And that's actually her viand for lunch. I am just planning to ask small servings of it in a small bowl. Lol

Look at this small Taro in it, its really small. Haha. At least the dish Mama's planning to make is not all just leaves and stems (≧▽≦)

After cleaning and cutting the Taro, mext is the coconut, we need coconut milk fir this recipe. And mama got this just for free y'all. The only thing she bought here was the spices. ♪ \(^ω^\ )

It was Mama who grated and who squeezes out the milk out of it. Its amazing that we didn't spend anything on it because that time the ingredients are all available in mama's kitchen <( ̄︶ ̄)>

So for the other ingredients, she only used onion, garlic, salt and MSG. She mix all of them together including a half cup of coconut milk. We'll put the rest once everything soften. Mama cook it for 25 minutes, she added the pure coconut milk abd then cook it for another five minutes, thr cooking time was 30.

And here's the the finished product. I taste test it an noticed that it has no sour taste in it. Mama didn't put vinegar in it coz she forgot about it. Lol. I didn't see ginger in it as well, the Ginataang Gabi I know has ginger. But maka doesn't really like the taste of ginger so she didn't any on it. It still taste good so its okay. (✿^‿^) looks really good. I eat it ao well with steamed white rice ╰( ・ ᗜ ・ )➝
