We live right next to South Africa's biggest export apple valley.
No need to guess what will be next on our menu and so glad that we don't have to pay for the apples. We get boxes full to supply to our feeding scheme and the little kids love the apples!

You are so blessed living in fruit country, this really is a lovely cake, I'm tempted to make some again with my store-bought apples;)
WOnderful that the farmers donate apples to you for the feeding scheme; I still find it heartbreaking thinking of those poor people who have to go out in the cold to get a hot meal, what would happen to them without people like yourselves!
