[ESP/ENG] Cerezas en almíbar, la receta de mi abuela || Cherries in syrup, my grandmother's recipe

Tener un árbol frutal es una bendición, esta planta tiene años en casa de mi abuela, en esta zona (oriente) se conoce como cereza, en otras partes de Venezuela le llaman semeruco, es una fuente de vitaminas y sirve en especial para las personas con problemas de anemia.
A mi particularmente me gusta más en jugo pero hoy quise recrear la receta de mi abuela de dulce de cerezas o cerecitas en almíbar.

Having a fruit tree is a blessing, this plant has been in my grandmother's house for years, in this area (east) it is known as cherry, in other parts of Venezuela it is called "semeruco", it is a source of vitamins and is especially useful for people with anemia problems.
I particularly like it better in juice but today I wanted to recreate my grandmother's recipe for sweet cherries or cherries in syrup.

Primero tocó recoger las cerezas bien temprano.

First it was time to pick the cherries very early.

Luego lavarlas y quitarles el tallo.

Then wash them and remove the stem.

Solo haré esta taza porque es mi primera vez

I will only make this mug because it is my first time

Lo haré en mi arrocera porque lleva bastante tiempo de cocción

I will do it in my rice cooker because it takes a long time to cook

Cubrimos de agua las cerezas. Cuando empiece a hervir agregamos una taza de azúcar.

We cover the cherries with wáter. When it starts to boil add a cup of sugar

Cuando llegue a este punto se agrega el jugo de medio limón, hasta que reduzca lo suficiente para volverse un caramelo

When it reaches this point add the juice of half a lemon, until it reduces enough to become a sirup

Lo envasamos en un recipiente de vidrio esterilizado

We pack it in a sterilized glass container

Y listo, no sé si mi abuela estaría orgullosa pero yo si lo estoy, espero les guste esta receta y la hagan en cuanto tengan oportunidad.
