In the restaurant where I worked before, every Friday they make special dishes relating to the typical Tuscan cuisine, this restaurant has existed for about sixty years and is famous in the area for its food, cheap prices and its social and political commitment, they have given help and I work for many refugees and I am always at the forefront of demonstrations by the Italian left. So it's a place of not only good food but also a good heart.
This Friday the main dish was Ribollita and Porchetta with artichoke flan, Ribollita so called because it is a soup that is boiled several times and which the peasants usually boiled is a soup of tasteless bread and seasonal vegetables, usually made of cabbage, carrots , onions and mushrooms is a hot dish that takes a long time but is really delicious, satiating and tasty, porchetta instead is a dish that belongs to the whole central Italian tradition, seasoned, spiced and sliced pork meat, all accompanied from an excellent artichoke flan.
Everything was really super yummy, especially the Ribollita, it's so hard to find it in a restaurant nowadays, we drink also a good typical Italian beer, a Moretti! One of my favourite Italian beers!
The prices was obviously quite cheap and it was really a enjoyable dinner.
