RE: Taco Tuesday Review

You write good reviews of eating out too! Very clear picture you've painted in detail about the food and the dining experience. Well done!

I'm surprised to hear of grapefruit included in a taco. That's new to me and not sure I'd like that. I do like green mango or unripe mango, but in cubes, it is very much like you describe. Perhaps if they'd shredded it finely instead of cubed that would have made a difference in taste. The fish looks delicious!

Hahahaha, yes avocados...I think I'm addicted to them at this point. The funny thing about that is the first time I had one when young, I didn't like them at all. I though they were a strange fruit. This is why I try things more than once. 😆

Yes I am not used to having grapefruit in tacos 🤣 but it was not too bad. I think shredded would have definitely made a difference! I love mangoes though. I have a love hate relationship with avocados because I sometimes cut it when it isn't ripe and then I have to wait for it to ripen and sometimes it gets too brown quickly. Finally, I learned that adding little lemon juice on top of avocadoes after cutting makes it brown at a slower rate.

Oh yes, avocados unripe, not fun at all and kind of cardboard-like. I've done the same. It's finding that sweet spot of when they are perfectly ripe. Yes, the lemon juice will stop the oxidation. I used to eat a half at a time but now it doesn't last to meet with lemon juice.

Yess once you manage to find the sweet spot, it is a worthwhile experience! 🥑

It most definitely is!
