Gracias!

Although my passion is the bakery, I love everything related to sweets, and why not? I also like pastry, I hope you love the recipe, and if you try to make it at home, try to follow the steps very carefully.

Ingredients For the sponge cake:

6 eggs
1 and 1/4 or 175 grs cup sugar.
1 and 1/4 or 175 grams of leavening wheat flour
1 tablespoon of baking powder
1 tablespoon of cream essence

Preparation of the sponge cake:

In a large bowl or cup, add the whites of the six eggs and beat to stiff peaks.
Then add the yellow ones one at a time and beat until they unite and create a yellowish sigh.
Add the wheat flour mixed with the spoonful of baking powder and beat and finally add the spoonful of cream essence.
This mixture is poured into a half kilo cake pan previously buttered and floured. Bake in a preheated oven at 250 degrees Celsius for 45 to 50 minutes.

In these images the mother-in-law helped me as a model for the photos..

Ingredients for the cream:

4 egg whites
1 and 1/4 cups or 175 grams of sugar.
A pinch of cream of tartar (as much as will fill the tip of a table knife).

Preparation of the meringue:

In a medium bowl or cup add the 4 egg whites and whisk with a whisper. Separately in a saucepan, add the sugar, cream of tartar, and three tablespoons of water, mix and place over low heat until it becomes a caramel. Lower the heat and add little by little to the sigh and whisk until it forms a thick cream. Put in the refrigerator.

Then our sponge cake should be opened in half with the help of a knife, add enough condensed milk and then join again both parts of our sponge cake. Then we wet it with our already prepared milk and take it to the refrigerator so that it absorbs the milk.

This is how our cake will look at the end, carefully decorating our cake using the meringue with the help of a pastry bag, we will also use a little cinnamon to give it the final touch.

I hope you liked the recipe. I would like to read your opinions later. Tomorrow I will be back with a recipe for homemade donuts. Thank you!
