Greetings to the food lovers here at Hive. I would like to share with you a simple recipe for homemade hotcakes. Anyone can make it with the ingredients on hand. Great for your breakfast!
Ingredients:
2 Cups of water (the larger measuring cup).
larger size)
1/4kg leavening wheat flour
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons butter or
margarine
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 teaspoon salt
Preparation:
In a cup or a medium bowl add the water, sugar, margarine, vanilla, and salt, mixing the ingredients until they are almost completely diluted with the help of a whisk (note: margarine is usually not completely diluted). Then add the flour little by little until you have a consistent mixture with few lumps.
A personal recommendation for those who love fluffiness in pancakes, it is important to leave the mixture a little thick, almost reaching the consistency of a cake mix.
And if you still think you like it even fluffier, use 2 eggs, use only the whites, and with the help of an automatic mixer, beat the egg whites until stiff (sigh base), and when it is ready, mix it smoothly with the pancake mixture to make it rise when it is cooked.
Cooking:
In a frying pan like the one in the image we will add a little bit of oil and we will spread it until it is greasy enough so that our mixture does not stick. Then we will add part of the mixture to create our pancakes.
One more recommendation is that we use an intermediate temperature, so our mixture will not be raw on the inside and burned on the outside.
Almost every day my wife and I create hotcakes of different sizes on our electric stove, and the filling is up to your preference. You can top it with cheese if you want to fill your palate with a taste between sweet and salty, or if you prefer sweeter, honey is an excellent option to dip in our pancakes.
We will get approximately 4 large size hotcakes or 8 smaller ones, enjoy the food to your preference, I hope you liked the recipe..
