Gelatin is considered an ideal snack for everyone, due to its numerous health benefits.
It's important to distinguish between the types of gelatin available on the market. We generally opt for the simple gelatin that involves just adding boiling and cooling water to obtain a flavorful gelatin suitable for both children and adults.
It's recommended to differentiate between pure gelatin, which comes in sheets or powder without added flavor, and commercial gelatin, which, as many of us know, contains sugar, colorings, and flavorings. This is what makes them different, and understanding these differences helps us decide which to choose.
Pure gelatin benefits joint, skin, and digestive health because it comes from animal sources, providing collagen. Ultimately, it's up to each individual to choose which type to use. In my case, I prefer pure gelatin for the benefits it provides without chemical additives.
It's up to each person to use their creativity to prepare it in order to obtain its benefits, and to flavor it so that it is very pleasant to the palate, especially if they are children.

For this gelatin, the following was used:
- 1 teaspoon of unflavored gelatin
- 1/4 cup of water to hydrate the gelatin
For the infusion:
- 1 teaspoon of hibiscus flowers
- 3 cloves
- the juice of one lemon
- 1 cup and 3/4 cups of water
You can sweeten it with sugar or honey (if you prefer; this preparation doesn't include any sweeteners, only the flavor of the lemon and the characteristic flavor of the hibiscus flowers).

The first step was to combine the unflavored gelatin powder with the water to hydrate it.

Bring the remaining water to a boil.

Once the water is boiling, add the hibiscus flowers and cloves. Cover the pot and let it steep for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.

After 5 minutes, strain the mixture, add the lemon juice and the softened gelatin.

Let it rest for a while before serving. This recipe calls for two containers, which were used for servings. Then refrigerate. It will take two to three hours in the refrigerator to set into the delicious hibiscus flower gelatin.
Depending on the size of the containers you use, this recipe will yield two to three servings.

Two servings of hibiscus flower infusion gelatin. If you prefer a firmer consistency, you can double the amount of unflavored gelatin.

La gelatina es una divinidad. La verdad la gelatina sin sabor se hace muy esquiva por mi país, pero todo el que pueda, que la consuma, pues tienes mucha razón en cuanto a los beneficios que aporta
