Tempe is one of the favorite foods in Indonesia. This food made from fermented soybeans is one of the foods that can be eaten with a variety of recipes, both snacks, main meals and as a complement to rice. It is rare for Indonesians who don't like tempeh, especially for vegetarians, this tempe is really an alternative choice.
And today I will share a home recipe, I will process tempeh with a simple preparation, but this dish becomes a food that can make you addicted and want to continue to finish it. The ingredients needed are also common ingredients which I'm sure will always be in your fridge. So without further ado I will share the recipe directly with you.
Necessary materials :
1. One pack of tempeh
2. Large green chili according to taste
3. 1 tomato
4. 1 cloves of garlic
5. 3 clove of onion
6. Salt to taste.
How to make :
1. Cut the tempeh into two large parts
2. Then cut the tempeh into pieces that are ready to be fried or according to taste
3. Sprinkle with salt and stir until evenly distributed
4. Fry tempeh on medium heat
5. After it turns brown, remove the tempeh and drain
6. While waiting for all the tempeh to finish frying, prepare the ground spices.
7. Chili, onion and garlic boiled/steamed until the chili is slightly wilted
8. After the chili is wilted, remove and drain
9.After that coarsely grind the chili along with the onion and garlic
10.Diced tomatoes
11. Heat the oil for frying
12. Saute the spices using low heat
13. After that, add the diced tomatoes
14. Stir briefly and add salt
15. After that, mix the tempeh, stir until smooth
16. Green chili stir-fried tempeh can be served and enjoyed.
Because this recipe uses green chilies which are not spicy compared to small chilies, so for stomach problems or those with stomach acid, this preparation is safe, not too spicy, plus the chilies that I use are boiled first and then stir-fried so that the spicy taste is gone.
The taste of this tempeh stir fry is a little spicy, the tomato acid is just right and not too salty, so this dish can also be used as a relaxing snack with the family or as a complement to the rice menu.
