The first thing we are going to do is cut the bread into small pieces. I use old bread to give it a use, but if they only have fresh bread, it's fine anyway. The important thing is that it does not have the outer shell of the bread.

Immediately we wet everything with the 2 liters of milk and the eggs. Mix very well with a fork.

Meanwhile we are making the caramel. In a pan, put the sugar with a splash of water and cook over medium heat until the caramel is ready, being careful not to burn it.

Once we have the caramel ready, we are going to put it in the bottom of the tray or pudding container that we will use. Once the caramel cools and solidifies, we will arrive the pudding pan with the bread mixture.

To bake, we will put the tray or pudding inside a larger one that contains a little water.

We cook our bread pudding in a bain-marie at 180° for at least 1 hour. Once cooked, remove it from the oven.

Let it cool completely and take it to the refrigerator for a few hours.
