This is called cake (Apam), the Indonesian language is surabi, in Pidie itself the making of Apam cake has become a custom and tradition for generations. The making of this "Apam" cake is usually done simultaneously by all Pidie people during the month of Rajab. Or better known as the moon (Apam)
Well, the unique thing is that Apam is only made once a year. And made by heating. Until the bottom of the cake is a little hard. For heating this cake, it does not require a big fire, usually the Pidie Community will use firewood for the process of making the Apam cake. So that the aroma and traditional characteristics do not fade.
I heard about apam so many times. Good to see the photos.
thank you, I hope you have the opportunity to feel the pleasure of Apam cake😊

Woww... Apam?
You just said that this is made once a year and it shows that it must be a very special cake. Hehe.
But, what if someone decides to casually prepare it at their home when it's not time for the festival.
Nice one...
