Planning a trip to Mallorca

Busqué algunos restaurantes y bares en Google Maps y TripAdvisor, y encontré un restaurante coreano con una buena calificación, así que lo guardé como "lugar al que quiero ir" en Google Maps, y este era Bi Bap.

I looked up some restaurants and bars on Google Maps and TripAdvisor, and found a Korean restaurant with a good rating, so I saved it as a "place I want to go" on Google Maps, and this was Bi Bap.

Originalmente, ni siquiera miré un restaurante coreano cuando me fui de viaje al extranjero, pero después de vivir en España durante más de 2 años, ¡si voy a algún lugar a divertirme! Mientras lo hago, busco un restaurante coreano. La razón es que no hay un solo restaurante coreano en mi vecindario.

Originally, I didn't even look at a Korean restaurant when I went on a trip abroad, but after living in Spain for more than 2 years, if I go somewhere to have fun! While doing so, I look for a Korean restaurant. The reason is that there is not a single Korean restaurant in my neighbourhood.

Sorprendentemente, la ubicación está realmente ubicada en el medio de la plaza que va a la Catedral de Palma en el Centro. Incluso cuando estaba dando un paseo la noche anterior, pasé por allí y pensé: '¡Oh, esto es Destiny?'.

Surprisingly, the location is actually right in the middle of the square leading to the Palma Cathedral in Centro. Even when I was out for a walk the night before, I passed by and thought: 'Oh, this is Destiny'.

La ubicación del restaurante es en la esquina de la plaza, pero los asientos de la terraza son amplios afuera y las bebidas se preparan en un bar con un nombre diferente al lado.

The restaurant's location is on the corner of the square, but the terrace seating is ample outside and drinks are prepared in a bar with a different name next door.

Llamé por la tarde para hacer una reserva para el mismo día, y me dijeron que solo quedaba un asiento a las 9:15 p. m., así que hice una reserva de inmediato. La mesa es una mesa Yongbieocheonga que parece un bar en la universidad. Mirando al dueño, no parecía que fuera coreano, pero parecía ser asiático.

I called in the evening to make a reservation for the same day, and was told there was only one seat left at 9:15 p.m., so I made a reservation right away. The table is a Yongbieocheonga table that looks like a bar in college. Looking at the owner, he didn't look like he was Korean, but he seemed to be Asian.

Después de preocuparnos alegremente por el tablero del menú y las bebidas con un código QR, pedimos japchae, calamares salteados y fideos wonton con cerveza fría y limonada de soju (no estaba en el tablero del menú, pero estaba escrito en el menú que cambia todos los días, así que lo pedimos por curiosidad) hecho

After happily fussing over the menu board and drinks with a QR code, we ordered japchae, stir-fried squid and wonton noodles with cold beer and soju lemonade (it wasn't on the menu board, but it was written on the menu which changes every day, so we ordered it out of curiosity).

De hecho, ambos eran personas tímidas que no podían soportar preguntar cuánto era después de ordenar. Por supuesto, me sorprendió ver el recibo más tarde, pero... Tenía un ligero sabor a soju de frutas, que era popular en Corea, como medio vaso de soju. Si vas la próxima vez, bebe otro vaso de cerveza fría.

In fact, they were both shy people who could not bear to ask how much it was after ordering. Of course, I was surprised to see the receipt later, but.... It had a slight taste of fruit soju, which was popular in Korea, like half a glass of soju. If you go next time, drink another glass of cold beer.

El restaurante estaba lleno de reservas y, a excepción de mí, no había asiáticos, excepto aquellos con esposos e hijos extranjeros. Cuando entré al restaurante cuando fui al baño, había bastantes asiáticos en la cocina.

The restaurant was full of reservations and, except for me, there were no Asians, except for those with foreign spouses and children. When I entered the restaurant when I went to the toilet, there were quite a few Asians in the kitchen.

Debido a la naturaleza de España, hay muchos lugares donde tienes que pedir un plato porque te comes toda la comida que pediste en lugar de compartir un plato. Este restaurante también coloca los palillos de inmediato para que se adapten a la comida coreana, pero la placa frontal no se proporciona por separado. Además, como eran tímidos, no pedí un plato frontal separado, y el plato era grande, lo cual estaba bien.

Due to the nature of Spain, there are many places where you have to order a plate because you eat all the food you ordered instead of sharing a plate. This restaurant also places chopsticks right away to suit Korean food, but the front plate is not provided separately. Also, because they were shy, I did not order a separate front plate, and the plate was large, which was fine.

Fideos wonton (5,8 euros), que salieron un poco más rápido, y el caldo era una ganga comparado con el soju y la limonada. Para mí, a quien le gusta la pimienta, la sopa de rábano con carne de res con sabor a pimienta se llenó con unos 4 huevos y wontons, ¡así que estaba deliciosa!

Wonton noodles (5.8 euros), which came out a little quicker, and the broth was a bargain compared to the soju and lemonade. For me, who likes pepper, the pepper-flavoured beef radish soup was filled with about 4 eggs and wontons, so it was delicious!

El siguiente es el calamar salteado (15,5 euros), dos pimientos picantes están dibujados con orgullo en el menú, y estaba deseando saltearlos con pasta de pimiento rojo y verduras.

Next up is the sautéed squid (15.5 euros), two hot peppers are proudly drawn on the menu, and I was looking forward to sautéing them with red pepper paste and vegetables.

Cuando llegué por primera vez al restaurante, el olor a incienso que llegaba hasta la terraza estimuló mi nariz, ¡y el personaje principal eran los calamares salteados!

When I first arrived at the restaurant, the smell of incense wafting up to the terrace stimulated my nose, and the main character was the sautéed squid!

Los calamares salteados vienen con arroz blanco de manera sensata y no son picantes (al gusto de los coreanos), pero la dulzura de la pasta de pimiento rojo y el sabor a fuego van bien juntos.

The stir-fried squid comes with white rice in a sensible way and is not spicy (to Korean tastes), but the sweetness of the red pepper paste and the fiery flavour go well together.

Por último, japchae (12,8 euros), la primera comida que comí después de vivir en Madrid y volver a Corea fueron los calamares salteados al estilo de mamá.

Finally, japchae (12.8 euros), the first food I ate after living in Madrid and returning to Korea was mum's style sautéed squid.

Viviendo en España de nuevo, ¡la comida que más quiero comer es el japchae de mamá! Ahora que lo pienso, creo que tuve una gran influencia en la selección del menú... jaja

Living in Spain again, the food I want to eat the most is mum's japchae! Now that I think about it, I think I had a big influence in selecting the menu... haha.

¡Las imágenes pasan por una vez, de las abundantes setas y verduras, a la decoración que es desconocida para el suelo!

The pictures go for once, from the abundant mushrooms and vegetables, to the garnish that is unfamiliar to the ground!

El japchae comido en países extranjeros siempre tenía los fideos de cristal cortados, pero aquí, los fideos de cristal salieron bastante largos, lo cual fue satisfactorio. El sabor salado era bueno, y la combinación perfecta para comer con calamares salteados picantes (Aplausos)

The japchae eaten in foreign countries always had the glass noodles cut off, but here, the glass noodles came out quite long, which was satisfying. The salty taste was good, and the perfect combination to eat with spicy sautéed squid (Applause).

Incluso el arroz blanco, que es indispensable para los calamares salteados, es comida coreana que se come en Mallorca, España, gracias por comerlo bien.

Even the white rice, which is indispensable for the sautéed squid, is Korean food eaten in Mallorca, Spain, thanks for eating it well.

También me alegró encontrar un buen restaurante coreano después de mucho tiempo. Si es una pena, hay que coger un avión a Mallorca, pero... je

I was also glad to find a good Korean restaurant after a long time. Yes it's a pity, you have to take a plane to Mallorca, but... heh...

Mirando las otras mesas, pedí un bibimbap de olla de piedra con una hermosa imagen o un montón de gangjeong de pollo después de mirar la imagen de Google Map.

También había ramen en el menú, pero a 13 euros, ¡ya había ramen en nuestro transportista..! ¡Renuncia fácilmente al ramen!

Looking at the other tables, I ordered a stone pot bibimbap with a beautiful picture or a pile of chicken gangjeong after looking at the Google Map image.

Si vives en España y extrañas Corea y vienes a Mallorca de vacaciones o de viaje, ¡te recomiendo este restaurante coreano que vale la pena visitar
