Hi Liketu,
Today, I traveled 1 hour from Gibraltar along the coast to the countryside in Tarifa. The journey flew by since the views were so beautiful, a mix of coast and beautiful green landscapes from high up in the mountains. Just before the Tarifa exit is a well-known viewpoint that overlooks Morocco. It's the closest point of Spain to Tangier, Africa.
Once in the countryside, I drove down a long quiet road to find a farm at the end, closed in by mountain views. To find a cozy, wooden, and extremely busy restaurant called Ventorillo El Nene - a huge menu mostly full of steaks and fish.
I opted for the Solomillo de Lomo a la plancha with a jacket potato and peppers. Don't judge me, but I asked for Medium - it was served rare but with a hot plate which gave me the flexibility to cook it to my liking.
A lovely cut of meat arrived, seasoned to perfection with chunky salt and pepper.
There is something about eating a Sunday steak in a warm environment surrounded by a wooden fire; it makes me feel wintry and reminds me it's nearly Christmas time.
