Sotanghon Soup

in Foodies Bee Hive2 years ago (edited)

Hello there everyone! It's good to be back. I'm happy to have you again.

This morning, I cooked sotanghon soup for breakfast. I tried to measure if I can do cooking with my own since I'm away from my family when I started working. I didn't just do the cooking for experiment but I have been craving to such so, I challenged myself. Actually, every week, I always think of good ideas of how should I budget my money especially that I'm not totally good at it because it's my first time to be in a distance. However, I find it interesting as it improves my ability to solve problems and do the cooking. By the way, in this blog I would like to share my simple style of mine in cooking sotanghon soup with all the ingredients I have in the kitchen and in the refrigerator.

Ingredients : (I'm not so sure about the measurements since I've just trying to achieve the taste I'd wanted)

1/4 Sotanghon
Black Pepper
Red Onion
Garlic
Spring onion
1 knorr cube (chicken broth)
2 spoons of soy sauce
A pinch of salt
Magic Sarap
1/8 Cabbage
2 Boiled Eggs

Sotanghon sounds like Thai to me but apparently it's not :D. What is magic sarap? Is it like MSG?

Hello @macchiata, magic sarap is a seasoning mix and it contains msg hehe

Yes, sotanghon is traditional pancit originating from the Philippines. 😊

Yummy 😋

Been missing eating chicken sotanghon soup.Usually when we cook such we use the Saporo variant the price is twice as the sotanghon in the market but it is better for me.

Ah I see, actually we use special sotanghon in most birthdays. Even if order outside usually restaurant would use that too because it taste really good. However, at the moment, I just cooked another brand since it's cheaper hence taste similar.

CHRUEEE basta maitawid ang cravings laban na yan. Pag naka luwag luwag na !PIZZA naman at ibang pagkain na mashesherep.
