Team Lunch - Curry anyone?

For Tuesday's team lunch, we indulged in a rich, flavourful butter chicken curry—a classic Indian dish that's sure to please everyone's palate.

Rich creamy Butter Chicken

The chicken was first marinated in a blend of yogurt, garlic, ginger, and fragrant spices like cumin, masala, and turmeric, ensuring it was tender and infused with flavour.

After being grilled or lightly sautéed, the chicken is simmered in a luxurious tomato-based sauce. This sauce is the heart of the dish, made with a perfect balance of tomatoes, butter, cream, giving it a velvety, smooth texture and slightly tangy sweetness.

The dish had a mild spiciness, suitable for everyone, and the buttery richness combined with the aromatic spices makes it comforting yet indulgent.

It was served with steamed basmati rice and a French loaf to soak up the sauces. Whether you prefer a light bite or a hearty meal, butter chicken is a versatile choice, making it an ideal addition to our team lunch.

We look forward to sharing our dishes together, along with great conversations and camaraderie!

I'm interested to see what next Tuesday brings.

Yes, @joanstewart - curry is always a favourite - most people like a curry and can have it mild should they wish to. Thanks for your comment and the WINEX

With lamb or mutton a good Durban curry bunny chow always great, butter curry with seafood or with chicken is a go to when you not sure how much heat/spicy visitors enjoy.

Ooh bunny chow!!

Too much work, too little time and patience. Good we have a traditional Indian restaurant nearby.

Haha @fernanoylet - that is a good alternative

Love the gif - makes you hungry all over again, Thanks for the comments!!

Everything looks very delicious, especially when you say “mild spicy” I love that subtlety on the palate. But aww, basmati rice has had me in love for years, what a special flavor and different from other rices.

I agree @littlesorceress basmati is the best.
