- Good evening dear friends... Today, I will explain one of my favorite recipes for breakfast or snack in a different, healthy and delicious way. I hope you are encouraged to prepare these succulent "beet pancakes with cinnamon" and enjoy it with your family and friends... Let's put on the apron and start our wonderful process...
Buenas noches queridos amigos... Hoy, les explicaré una de mis recetas predilectas para desayunar o merendar de forma diferente, saludable y exquisita. Espero, que se animen a preparar éstas suculentas "tortitas de remolacha con canela" y la disfruten con sus familiares y amigos... Pongámonos el delantal y empecemos nuestro maravilloso proceso...
- We will cut into small cubes 2 beets (remove the skin). We incorporate our colorful and nutritious beets into a food processor. We reserve to use in the final step.
- Cortaremos en cubos pequeños 2 remolachas (extraemos la piel). Incorporamos nuestra colorida y nutritiva remolacha a un procesador. Reservamos para utilizar en el paso final.
- Add the beet puree to the blender beaker... Add 1 egg, beat at "high" speed until well integrated.
- Colocamos la remolacha "triturada" al vaso de la licuadora... Añadimos 1 huevo, batimos a velocidad "alta" hasta integrar bien.
- Add 1/2 cup of milk...
- Agregamos 1/2 taza de leche...
- Add 1 heaping teaspoon of vanilla essence.
- Integramos 1 cucharadita colmada de esencia de vainilla...
- I love the aromatic contrast provided by the cinnamon powder...
- Adoro el aromático contraste que aporta la canela en polvo...
- Add 1 tablespoon of sugar...
- Incorporamos 1 cucharada de azúcar...
- Next, add 1 cup of wheat flour together with 1 teaspoon of baking powder. The mixture will have a slightly "thick" consistency.
- A continuación, añadimos 1 taza de harina de trigo junto con 1 cucharadita de polvo de hornear... La mezcla deberá quedarnos con una consistencia un poco "espesa".
- This is how appetizing and succulent it will be...
- Así de apetitosa y suculenta nos quedará...
Let's start our wonderful process: We add a touch of sunflower oil to a non-stick frying pan... Cook our first pancake over "medium" heat for approximately 2 minutes on each side or until it acquires a beautiful shade.
What I enjoy most about this delicious recipe is being able to enjoy its exquisite fluffiness, which is why I usually make them a little thick... the size is up to you to choose.
- Empecemos nuestro maravilloso proceso: Agregamos un toque de aceite de girasol a un sartén antiadherente... Cocinamos nuestra primera tortita a fuego "medio", aproximadamente durante 2 minutos por cada lado o hasta que adquiera una hermosa tonalidad.
- Lo que más disfruto de ésta deliciosa receta es poder disfrutar de su exquisita "esponjosidad", por ésto suelo elaborarlas un poco gruesas... el tamaño se las dejo a su elección.
- When we see "little bubbles" on the surface, it is time to flip our colorful "beet pancakes".
- Cuando observemos pequeñas "burbujitas" en la superficie, es el momento de darle la vuelta a nuestras coloridas "tortitas de remolacha".

Holy purple pancakes! That is absolutely brilliant! We love pancakes at my house... and I've been trying to find ways to get my daughter to eat some beets, so this is it. I will be trying this VERY soon. Thank you! :)
