One day I asked my friends if they had ever eaten rice with noodles and they looked at me skeptically, wondering what the heck is he talking about and I told them about the dish and how my mother used to make it and I decided to make it so they could try it and this is the recipe I am sharing today
I personally identify myself very much with this dish since day 1 when my mother put it on the table at home, I liked it and tried to find out where it came from, according to my search it was in the area of Haiti and the Dominican Republic, but to tell the truth it is not known where this delicious dish originated
Personally, every time I try this dish it takes me back to my childhood, to my countryside, to my family and to my beloved mother who every time I asked her to make it for me.
When you taste it you feel the flavor of the toasted noodles combined with the onion that gives it a phenomenal touch
Ingredientes
Una taza de fideos
1 Cebolla Morada mediana
3 vasitos de olla arrocera de arroz
Dos cucharadas de aceite
Sal al gusto
Ingredients
One cup of noodles
1 medium red onion
3 rice cooker cups of rice
Two tablespoons of oil
Salt to taste
Method of preparation
Pour two tablespoons of oil in a frying pan and let it heat. Once hot, add the noodles and stir them until they are toasted. Two minutes before removing the pan from the stove, add the chopped onion and let it integrate with the noodles and let it rest. In the meantime, wash the rice and pour it into the pan where you are going to cook it. Add the salt, the noodles and stir, then add the amount of water according to the yield of the rice and proceed to cook, while the rice is cooking enjoy the aroma of the toasted noodles and once finished cooking proceed to serve.
And for the end the perfect way as I like to eat it, plantain chips with pork tenderloin steak.
Wow, it's look amazing I hope you enjoyed it and have a good taste..
Thank you very much for your comment, we will try to keep surprising you.
Hahah, that was my reaction too. How can rice go with noodles on the same plate? well, as one dish, mixed :D But maybe I would give it a try.
I was watching your coffee + Ron + ice cream video. So it's a Cuban thing, looks tasty... Yesterday I saw a bottle of Ron Havana Club while I was doing the grocery ( I am based in Spain) but in the end, I had something else, a local loquat cream.
Another thing, I see you are relatively new on Hive, so I would like to give you a welcome on my part too. If you would ask me for advice or suggestion... I would recommend you connect with other users, engage with them, comment and meet... Make friendships. The Cuban community on Hive is amazing, you can learn so much from them, as in the beginning we are shy and don't know where to start. I know, we were all there. But you will see, it's much more fun when you are not going alone :)
Greetings!
Si me pides consejo o sugerencia...
¡Saludos!
