Hi! Especially to my Fellow foodies!!

I hope everyone is doing fine. It has been a long time since I last posted here in the community, I have been very busy since Christmas season is coming up.

We were quite busy preparing our gifts for our families. Luckily, last time me and my husband were able to get a quick breakfast date to grab some of our favourite Filipino breakfast. We went to a Filipino restaurant named Eat-Hans, formerly named "Pinoy Lomi Haus."

This restaurant serves delicious and affordable Filipino dishes. The selections are endless, from breakfast delights to unlimited buffet for lunch and dinner. They also have varieties on breads and desserts such as cake, fruit salad that are usually seen on Filipino parties. This is a great restaurant especially when you are craving for the taste of home.

We ordered a congee or a rice porridge. We used to call this dish as "Lugaw" in the Philippines. Lugaw is a comfort food. Our Mothers' usually serve this when we are not feeling well, it keeps us warm and full. It can also be eaten as breakfast, as it is heavy, and it will keep you satiated all throughout the long day.

Lugaw usually are mix of sticky rice and regular rice cooked in chicken/beef broth. We can eat it plain, with egg or add some toppings on it. When it is cooked with chicken, we called it (Arroz Caldo), But when it is with beef or beef tripe we used to called it (Goto).

The servings was quite big so, we just order one bowl for us to share. One bowl is around (18 aed/4.90 usd). This is an upgraded version because it has all the possible topping we can ever have, such as eggs, spring rolls, chicken, beef, beef tripe, garlic and spring onions.

I also bought a bao-bun or in Philippines we called them siopao. These steam buns cost about (5 aed/1.36 usd). They are filled with savoury pork, or chicken. I got the chicken siopao and eat it along with the lugaw.

We were so full after finishing bowl of this lugaw. It was really filling and gave us the energy for the long day of shopping ahead.

How about you guys doing? Do you also have cravings for food back home? Are you all done with your Christmas shopping? What are the preparations you are doing for this season? Thank you for reading my blog and I am excited to share to you our Christmas feast soon.

Thank you! Until next time!

Your food order is quite big for sure. Looks similar to a porridge texture in my city. :)

Thanks for sharing your foodie journey :)

Hi! :) I'm pretty sure porridge in your city is comforting too.

Will share more foodie contents. 😊
