Son conocidos como niños dormidos en los llanos orientales de Venezuela, y en Colombia con el nombre de aborrajados.Hola queridos amigos de la comunidad espero que estén bien, estoy feliz de participar en el concurso semanal realizador @OCD en apoyo a @FoodiesBeeHive, donde tenemos que realizar un plato típico de mi país y esta vez estaré realizando unos tequeyoyos que es un páspalo venezolano, parecido a los tequeños pero relleno de plátano amarillo frito y queso. El origen está arraigado el estado Zulia ubicado en el extremo noroeste de Venezuela, donde los tequeños, pastelitos, papas rellenas y por supuesto yoyos y el tequeyoyos es parte común de un desayuno o una comida en la tarde.
They are known as niños dormidos in the eastern plains of Venezuela, and in Colombia as aborrajados.Hello dear friends of the community I hope you are well, I am happy to participate in the weekly contest maker @OCD in support of @FoodiesBeeHive, where we have to make a typical dish of my country and this time I will be making some tequeyoyos which is a Venezuelan páspalo, similar to tequeños but stuffed with fried yellow plantain and cheese. The origin is rooted in the state of Zulia located in the extreme northwest of Venezuela, where tequeños, pastries, stuffed potatoes and of course yoyos and tequeyoyos are a common part of a breakfast or an afternoon meal.
Their name derives from their resemblance to the yo-yo toy, since they used to have a round shape, but nowadays they have an elongated semicircular shape. Nowadays Banana Yoyos can also be stuffed with ham, and sometimes they can also be stuffed once they have been fried with marinated meat, marinated chicken, pork leg, vegetables, sauces and other ingredients.
Ingredientes para la masa/ Ingredients for the dough
- 3 tazas de harina de trigo
- 3 cucharadas de mantequilla
- 1 cucharita de sal
- 1 cuchara de azúcar
- 3 cups of wheat flour
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
1.- Se debe incorporar a las 3 tazas de harina de trigo todos los materiales, añadimos agua tibia y amasamos hasta que quede una mezcla homogénea. Dejamos reposar durante 5 minutos la masa.
1.-Add all the materials to the 3 cups of wheat flour, add warm water and knead until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Let the dough rest for 5 minutes.
Ingredientes para el relleno/ Ingredients for the filling
- Medio plátano amarillo
- Queso pasteurizado medida de dos dedos.
- Half a yellow banana
- Pasteurized cheese, two-finger measure.
1.- Debemos de picar el plátano en forma de tajada y llevarlo a freír hasta que queden bien cocidos.
1.-We must chop the plantain into slices and fry them until they are well cooked.
2.- Debemos tomar la masa ya reposada y estirar con un rodillo hasta que quede fina y manejable.
2.-We must take the dough already rested and stretch it with a rolling pin until it is thin and manageable.
3.- Colocamos una tajada de platano y el queso y vamos a comenzar a realizar giros de manera horizontal hasta cerrar completamente el tequeyoyo
3.-Place a slice of banana and the cheese and begin to make horizontal turns until the tequeyoyo is completely closed.
4.- Para finalizar lo llevamos a freir hasta que quede dorado.
4.-Finally, fry until golden brown.
