My friend @kneelyrac recommended that I try the food here in IKEA. She was supposed to join me, but she had an unexpected work and couldn’t make it. Luckily, she suggested a dish for me to try, which is a huge help because I was unsure of what to order since it’s my first time. This way, I won’t hold up the people in line who are waiting behind me. Hahaha! thanks kneel you are such a savior! 😌
It was lunchtime, so the place was really packed. There was a guy in line ahead of us asking if anyone had lost the 1k pesos he saw on the ground. I checked my wallet, but it wasn’t mine. I asked @jastencore to check her cash, and she said it wasn’t hers either. No one in the crowd claimed it, Jas joked it might be some kind of social experiment to see if anyone would actually go for it, 🤣 HAHAHA! could be or could be not, whatever the case the one who found it gets to have it, unless he surrenders it to the staffs.
Because of all the hype, I was expecting something mind-blowing with the meatballs. Unfortunately, they tasted just typical for Western cuisine. I’ve had better meatballs before, and the same goes for the spaghetti, too. This is just my opinion, though. We all have different tastes, but I must be honest about my experience. Jas also agreed with me.
I was expecting the salmon to have a kick, but it tasted ordinary. You know I love salmon, in fact, it's my favorite fish. I first tried it when my best friend served it to me while making sushi at her home, and I’ve also enjoyed it at a Japanese restaurant. Salmon has always left a good impression on me. but that was raw, and this one is cooked or steamed, so after tasting this I've realized that the raw flavor has a different punch compared to the cooked or steamed versions, like this one.
but you know, I really loved the mashed potatoes that accompanied it, I could come back just for those!
For the dessert, the almond cake, I can only say it's delicious. I'm not usually fond of sweets, but this one is definitely worth the hype. Jas commented about the butter cookies paired with it, she got reminded by the Dewberry biscuit, the ones you typically see in groceries Hahaha and I agreed!
I also tried the carrot cake that Jas ordered. it's delicious but too sweet compared to the almond cake that has just the right amount of sweetness to it.
I wanted to share my thoughts on the drinks at this place. I noticed that people can grab them without paying, which is quite amusing! For those who have experienced this place, don't you think so too?
Overall, I really enjoy the variety of flavors available. I've only tried a couple, both of which I liked. I would love to come back and sample the rest, as I'm still curious about the other flavors. The same goes for the other dishes, but I do think the prices are something to consider. It's really a matter of whether the price is worth the taste.
Also finding the exit at IKEA was harder than I expected. Jas and I wandered around the other floors for quite a while, and my feet became sore from all the walking. but all in all it was a fun experience.
Omg at our IKEA the food don't look so appealing!!😣😣😣 You are lucky ❤️
oh wow, it's an honor for an Italian to compliment our ikea food here 😍

I haven’t tried the almond cake yet, now I’m curious since I liked their carrot cake! 😂 Most people go to IKEA just to try the food! And yes, the exit is super confusing nga, got lost too the first time I went there!
I highly recommend the almond cake! Haha, I will definitely come back for more if I visit Manila again. 🤣 Getting lost was fun, we kept asking the guard abt the exit and still ended up taking the elevator back to the same place again Hahaha! What's more fun is the other people around us are having the same problem 🤣
