Dining at Casa Verde

I remember when I was in high school, Casa Verde is the place where the famous kids celebrate their birthdays. This place is located at Ayala Malls, Cebu City.

I wasn't one of the cool kids in high school. However, I do loved their Baby back ribs and lava cake that my mom would always take out for dinner.

So for my recent visit with Ben, I was really anticipating for their backribs. Unfortunately, they only have the mini version of it with rice. The lava cake was sold out too. So we ordered the choco forest ice cream cake instead. We also ordered their fresh watermelon juice. Meal size were huge that can be good for two.


The Victoria Secret, which is the name of their spaghetti, taste okay. Although i don't find anything special about them. (rate: 4/5). Funny thing is, we didn't know it was just a plain spaghetti since their menu didn't have any pictures.

Another unique thing about this restaurant is their walls covered with different pieces like boat, baseball, hockey, Superman, badminton and among others just like a museum.

There are also vintage posters everywhere. Here's one featuring James Dean.



The counter bar resembles that of a cruise ship with Marilyn Moore's head on top. I believe the theme of this restaurant is more like an American vintage vibe.


Ben gave me a souvenir from his recent trip to Manila- a painted teddy bear he got from an exhibit. Here's a photo of us and the bear.


We spend the whole night catching up and telling ourselves different stories. I remember it was raining heavily outside during this day so we had to stay a little longer inside the mall until the rain slows down. Simple moments like this are memorable to me.
