Hello everyone and all members of the community, how are you friends today? May we all always be given patience, happiness and health in living this life. Right now, I'm still fasting in Ramadan and it will take about 8 more days. Today, I had to break my fast alone because my wife attended the invitation and I had a lot of work to do. Because of that there was no food and cooking activity I decided to order food online through a delivery application.

Ordering food through the application has become a modern lifestyle today. This method is very practical and is the choice of many people to make it easier for them when ordering food. Apart from being practical and cheap, we can also get dancing promos from food tenants or restaurants in this online application. This time, I ordered a rice box and topokki from the Daily Box via the Grab Food application.

My order came about 40 minutes after I placed my order. It seems, many people think like me to break their fast by ordering food from online applications. The first thing I did was to check if my order matched my application and paid for both of these meals at IDR 35K (2.5 USD).

Topokki

Topokki became the first food I tried from these two dishes. Topokki is a popular snack from South Korea made from rice flour and eaten with a spicy soup. Topokki is a popular snack all over the world because it often appears in Korean drama scenes and has become a pop cultutre in society.

How does the topokki taste from the Daily Box? The taste has been modified so that it can be accepted by Indonesians. I've tasted instant topokki that my friend bought directly from South Korea, I didn't like the taste. But the topokki with Indonesian spices is more suitable for my taste buds. The spicy, savory and salty of this thick gravy is so delicious that it suits me. The texture of the topokki is chewy and soft, even though it looks small but this topokki also makes the average person full (except me). The melted mozzarella cheese also makes this topokki even more delicious and very tasty to eat.

Rice Box – Spicy Salted Squid

One bowl of topokki didn't fill me up, that's natural. I fasted for 13 hours and I needed some carbohydrates. For Indonesians, we are not said to eat when we have not eaten rice. I immediately opened the rice box I ordered and saw what the shape and appearance of the rice box I ordered looked like.

My rice box consists of a serving of rice, spicy salted squid and fresh cucumber slices. When you see the red color of the chili becomes very dominant in this food. Since I was hungry, I immediately took a spoon and ate it. Turns out, it's not as bad as I thought and imagined. This spicy foreign squid is made with chunks of potato and petai, the texture is a bit oily but not too bothersome when eaten.

Salty and spicy are the two dominant flavors of this food. The texture of the salted squid is chewy and savory but very tasty when eaten with rice. In addition, spicy potato wedges and petai also make this food more appetizing. It only took me 5 minutes to finish one serving of this rice box and by eating two meals I was full and sleepy.
