Namasteš, Today I am sharing my favorite recipe veg dish āOnion Leaf Pakora Recipeā, which I am eating from childhood, this dish is not only famous for taste but it have health benefits also. Now I am sharing here step wise photographs in this post, hope you all will like it.
Ingredients: -
One cup chopped Leaf Onion (green veggie leaf onion)
Ā½ Cup Gram Flour (Besan)
1 teaspoon Red chili powder
Ā½ teaspoon Coriander powder
Ā½ teaspoon Cumin powder
Ā½ teaspoon Garam masala
Ā½ teaspoon Turmeric powder
Salt to taste
1 teaspoons Carom Seeds (Ajwain)
1-2 tablespoons Water or less or more as required
Tool well Rinsed Leaf Onion 8-10 pices and then chop it. Also chop green chilies and grate the ginger if like.
Now add Gram Flour (Besan) ,red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, salt and Carom Seeds (Ajwain) and Mix it well using your hand, rub with your fingers.
Keep aside this mixture for 15-20 minute at-least, after it became proper marinated and then if required add few waters in it and make very thick batter.
Now Heat the oil in deep pan or kadai on medium heat for frying. Once oil became hot, add small amount of batter into the oil. If donāt like with hand can be use spoon for it. I am using my hand while making pakora.
Fry pakora till it became golden brown and keep moving in between for even browning and not to cover it while frying.

After became crispy and golden brown from all the side, keep it aside,
Serve hot with tomato sauce or green chutney.

If there is one ingredient that many Indian cuisines don't make use of enough, it is green onions. I cook mostly Indian style foods at home, but I break the rules a lot and use green onions where Indian cooks normally wouldn't. I have never seen green onion pakoras in any restaurant nor have I used them in this way at home. Bravo for creativity, looks delicious!!
