**Larb **is a stir-fry dish of Laos with a funny name. Larb has become popular in Thailand and Southern China. Larb is made with minced meat such as pork, chicken, beef, or fish, duck, or even diced mushrooms.

**Larb **is an easy, flavorful meal that you’ll enjoy at your weekend. Larb is typically a salad (a meal with small pieces), but made mostly with meat! It gets its amazing flavor from fresh herbs, shallots, fish sauce, lime juice, a few spices and most importantly, the unique ingredient of toasted rice adds a nutty flavor in the dish.

In Laos, food is the necessary factor throughout the day, people eating and sharing dishes between friends and relatives. Additionally, Laos’s people take great passion in sharing cultural dishes with travelers. Laos’s food is colorful, filled with herbs and spices, and the combinations of ingredients are guaranteed to thrill your taste-buds. Larb is filled with vivid, delicious flavors and contrasting textures. A combination of sticky rice gives Larb crunchy taste, along with a buttery nuttiness and addition of lemon juice gives tangy flavor. The chilies give the larb heat, and the addition of fried shallots adds Mouth-watering flavor

How to cook? Let's start with the ingredients:

  • 2cups sticky rice
  • 2pounds skinless chicken or beef
  • 3-4 shallots chopped ( a type of onion)
  • 3tsp lemon juice
  • 2bunches coriander or mint for garnishing
  • 2tsp fish sauce (liquid condiment use as a staple seasoning in East Asia cuisine)
  • 2-3 spring onion
  • 2tsp olive oil
  • 1tsp brown sugar
  • 1/2cups peanut nuts
  • 1tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1tsp red chili powder How to cook?

Step 1:

In a small cooking metal pot, toast the rice over medium heat for about 20-25 minutes. Carefully stir the rice until light brown then after few minutes grind rice in the grinder for the mixture.

Step 2:

In another metal pot, fried chicken or pork quickly in a little fat over medium heat or until cooked through about 20-25 minutes. Add little bit water for avoiding chicken for burn or stick.

Step 3:

Off the shimmer, add the shallot, spring onions, ginger garlic paste, fish sauce, brown sugar, and lemon juice. Mix everything well then add rice powder in it and mix it well.

Step 4:

Mix meat with your hands then adds roasted peanuts together in a bowl. Add red chili powder, then mix in the mint and coriander leaves.

Step 5:

Serve Larb warm sticky rice, or unripe vegetables, such as lettuce, cabbage, carrots or cucumbers, etc.
