Hi everyone, much love from me to everyone one who supported in my last post I am so happy and feels appreciated. Thanks guys.
Okay I wish you do same to this one...
y'all are getting to know me I love my country and it's culture.
So today I'll share this little interesting thing that happens in Nigeria especially in the rural areas though...
Okay am introducing this African insects that we eat here, lol yeah I mean 'Insects!' . l know that thought of eating an insect is awful. But it's so rampant here,

It has a season though it comes during winter and it would last for only 3 to 4 days though.

My childhood memories...
I remember when I was a child we would crab a bowl in the night and we will keep it near a lighting bulb and put some water inside the bowl it's like a trap and as I short as I was with my cousins we would pick an higher chair then climb on it with a broom in my hands and my cousins will support the chair so I won't fall from it.
Haha these insects will fly near the light cause they love were the is light then bumb! I'll use the broom to flap the insects inside the bowl full of water. Trust me we would get as much as we can that night.
Also in the morning we would wake up so early so we don't miss school rush outside with a small bowl with small water inside it then lift small stones, these insects like hiding under things (that is those ones with fallen feathers that can't fly to where ever they came from). we will lift every thing and sure we will get as much as we would, not until my mum will come running after us with a Cain lol you know African parents now they don't take nonsense, she would shout we should go prepare for school. Now I can imagine those insects was like our snacks.
Okay so after running from mum and causing scene we go prepare to school keeping our snacks in a safe place. when we come back first thing I checked is my insect snacks. Haha after everything I would go sieve my own portion of the insects that's we share it among my cousins. I would fry mine with no oil just the insects in a frying pan. when it's done I would put mine inside a plate oh my gosh! my snacks are ready to be served and eaten by me. I would even preserve it for the next day so I share to my friends at school.

It's more of interest to the children than the grown ups. But one thing I realized when I grew up I stopped going after it, or maybe it depends on my current environment but during this school break presently in Nigeria, I got home and discovered that my smaller cousins where just all over the place with their little snacks.
