FOOD BLOG 101 | "Samgyupsal Cravings, Satisfied!"

"As I stepped up to adulthood, indulging myself with intense study habit and side hustling will definitely complete my day. An unending cycle, it is. The satisfaction upon accomplishing various tasks was undeniably overwhelming. Thus, quite exhausting too."

To keep myself focused to earning, practical spending and saving up were all challenging. In order to save higher amount to spend for longer days, I must be thrifty. Despite of the extreme want to treat myself out after spending 24/7 with academics and working, I am still obligated to maintain my focus. Or else, everything will be doomed.

However, there are still some days that I found myself buying foods to regain energy and refuel my welfare. Just like what Ken Follett said ...

" ... Hard work should be rewarded by good food."

"In this blog, join me as I both treat myself & satisfies my own food cravings with those hard-earned money!"

Everytime that exhaustion and stress can't no longer be controlled, there's something that can easily and fastly help to divert myself from uncertainties and to refuel my almost 0% energy. None other than "dining out to treat myself with foods."

Kakabsat Food Hub, also known as "House of Unli Rice ", is a local restaurant located at Nueva Ecija, Philippines. Offering both Filipino and Korean cuisines with a fantastic taste.

The said restaurant was established during the middle of the global pandemic whereas it immediately clicked to the locals and even to those who are residing outside the city.

One of the many reasons? Their accommodating staffs and the ambiance of the place. The place is perfect for family and couples who want to have a date, thus, for circle of friends or workmates aiming to have some bonding time together.

Kakabsat Food Hub keeps on expanding. Aside from unli-samgyupsal, they now offer:

• Coffee blends and pastries;
• Beverages (milk teas and fruit teas) and pasta dishes like creamy carbonara;
• Unli meals (e.g. unli rice with sizzling sisig, liempo, pork & chicken barbecue, signature pinaputok and etcetera); and
• Korean Mart.

Months ago, they opened up their KTV whereas anyone can enjoy alcoholic drinks and foods. Currently, the said restaurant is building up their "Bahai Hayahai" ...

On Wednesday (1st day of February 2023), I met my old friends from high school and we accompanied each other during the Day 03 of CLSU SIKAD.

After we spent hours from walking and sharing such stuffs about academics and life, we then travelled to the town proper to grab our lunch.

At this part, let's proceed to what we have digged up for the lunch. Supposedly, it should be ramen at Kakabsat Food Hub. But, we ended up having unli-samgyupsal ...

We've ordered the package amounting to PhP 199.00 (3.71 USD) each. It covered the following inclusions:

• Unli Pork (flavors: plain + curry + barbecue);
• Unli Chicken (flavors: plain + curry + barbecue); and
• Unli Side-dishes (rice + kimchi + pickled cucumber + peanuts with dilis + marbled potatoes + hotdog).

To enjoy it more, we also ordered our refreshers such as Original Lemonade and Yakult Lemonade. Plus, the cheese for our samgyupsal. While enjoying the unli foods, we continue engaging ourselves upon talking to each other featuring a lot of things.

CLOSING THOUGHTS

To goal to stay focused at getting thrifty, as my sources of income had deteriorated upon attending face-to-face classes, were shortly forgotten to ease up the occuring heaviness due to existing challenges.

Despite of spending a kind of big amount for this day, I am still capable of finding happiness and enjoyment. Will just triple up my perseverance and actions to gain back those amount. What's more important is ...
