One of the characteristics of all blockchains in general is to be decentralized ecosystems, where users can have the freedom to share their interests. Hive is a broad, strong blockchain, in constant growth and diversification, which motivates the daily entry of users of different types, which allows the enrichment and expansion of the platform. Now, on many occasions, unfortunately the word FREEDOM is confused with ABUSE.

The existence of specific communities allows you to organize content within Hive. Thus, there are niches for each area of interest. The Foodies Bee Hive community is a gastronomic niche, in which users from all over the planet coexist and publish, it is a kind of global or worldwide recipe book. The fact that we are one of the largest communities in the gastronomic area makes us proud and makes us strive every day to create a strong community, with reliable users committed to Hive, with people who are reliable, genuine, and who share authentic content. , unprecedented and of quality on the blockchain, which is why COMMUNITY RULES are required to regulate this activity.

image.png

Based on the above, below, we present the UPDATED COMMUNITY RULES (2024), which are aimed at avoiding such toxic and impoverishing practices as plagiarism, paraphrasing, farming, spamming and reposting. Let's see what each of these vices consists of:

  • Plagiarism: Consists of taking content from other authors (text, photos, videos), and presenting it as your own, earning a profit from it.

  • Paraphrasing: Refers to varying a written text by removing and adding words and presenting it as one's own and also benefiting from it.

  • Farming: Is to have several accounts, with different identities, and earn benefits with all the accounts, sharing very similar content or in the same communities.

  • Spam: It consists of publishing several posts in the same community, on the same day.

  • Reposting: Is to republish old content and present it as new content, monetizing again and again with the same publication that was already voted.

image.png

As you can see, they are practices that affect the equity and proper functioning of Hive, impoverishing it, subtracting transparency and quality from the content that is shared on the platform.

image.png

Based on this, every curator has the right to apply the necessary and required measures to ensure the quality of the content, as well as may also require proof of the identity of the users, as would be the data related to other social networks, thus avoiding the occurrence of these bad practices. We explain each of them below:

UPDATE OF THE FOODIES BEE HIVE COMMUNITY RULES (2024)

image.png

  • 1. Publish only original content (republishing old content/translating it is not considered original): Only content created by the author, by the user, is allowed in this community. Plagiarism of text or images is NOT allowed in this community, nor is the publication of old content or the translation of a recipe to be presented as your own. All of these are considered serious offenses and imply immediate and permanent silence on the account.

  • 2. The use of photographs from image banks or generated by AI is NOT permitted. No photographs owned by other people: Only photos owned by the author are accepted. We do not accept photos taken from an image bank, even when they are copyright-free, nor do we accept photos made by Artificial Intelligence.

  • 3. Content made by minors is not allowed: We do not accept content presented by accounts in the name of minors, nor minors making recipes in posts by adult users. This implies immediate silence of the post.

  • 4. Every user new to Hive, or new to Foodies Bee Hive, must include a minimum of three photos showing their face (of the total number of photos in each post), making their recipes: This is a way to get to know better the new Hive users, or those who are new to the community.

  • 5. If you publish a video, you must appear in it making your recipes or presenting your gastronomic review: It is similar to rule number 4, it is a way to get to know our users better.

  • 6. No spam: Only one post from the same user is allowed in this community, every 24 hours, no less.

  • 7. Cross-posting is not allowed: Avoid cross-posting posts made in other communities, as these will be silenced

  • 8. Respect and friendship are expected: So we expect users to respect the rules of courtesy, and to be kind, visiting, commenting, voting and reblogging the posts of their other foodie colleagues.

We hope that this information is read and understood, and that we continue together, building a strong, harmonious community with real and honest users.

The new rules and colors in the community are very influential in making the community better. Really appreciate this policy, and hopefully the hive users and part of foodiesbeehive realize this and make better posts in the future. Thanks for the new rules!

Thank you, very clear rules that help us to grow on the platform.

Thank you ❣️ rules are very clear and detailed.

I don't know, I think the rule requiring a photo of me as a person violates my rights regarding GDPR. A similar thing can only be required, but under our laws, by government authorities

Not to mention that not everyone is comfortable showing their face on the internet, and for a recipe, the user's appearance is completely irrelevant.

Thanks for sharing the new 2024 rules. This is necessary for the biggest and most beautiful community of foodies. And it is the duty of all of us members. Thank you🙏

Hello @foodiesunite. I do have a question about Number 3.

  1. Content made by minors is not allowed: We do not accept content presented by accounts in the name of minors, nor minors making recipes in posts by adult users. This implies immediate silence of the post.

I would like to know more about that. Did something happen?

I have 3 teenagers in the house. It is quite normal for them to be in the kitchen learning and helping. Especially since my partner @clairemobey has a disability and cannot stand for long times in the kitchen.

So for my food posts and my wife's food posts, we wouldn't go and specifically try to include or exclude the teenagers.

But now also, "no content created by minors." The definition of a minor in most countries is being between the ages under 18 or under 21 years old. Does that mean that a 16 year old making a post about baking cupcakes is not allowed?

Again, I am trying to understand the rules and why the rules are there because it is important that I teach the rules correctly to others when I on-board people.

absolutely @foodiesunite. This would be a massive blow to my posts. My children are all 12 and up. Does that include them? @What do you consider "minors?" As a family, we cook and bake together and that is a huge part of my posts.

Thank you very much, well understood.

Greetings community @foodiesbeehive , I hope you are all well.
I have a question, how do you go about getting a community membership if you have one or something like that?
