Lechon is one of Cebu's most famous products. We can't deny that the majority of tourists visiting Cebu are excited to try the delicious Lechon.
I had a hankering for Lechon before I left for our province, but I was unable to fulfill it. I was with my friends at IT Park when I thought of going to ZubuChon, but their branch was already closed.
During my very first visit
You may be wondering why ZubuChon, but let me tell you a story. When I initially moved in Cebu way back 2015, and I took a tour of the city to be familiarized and get a taste of what Cebu has to offer, my friend Gilaine treated me to a meal at their IT Park location along with one of our friends Alyyssa. I must say that this location is well-known and always full-packed and that's my very first time trying their Lechon.
Going back to my current visit, I returned from my vacation and invited a few of my friends to join me for an early dinner at SM Seaside. Due to their hectic schedules and other obligations, only two of them were able to join me.
I was early because I was able to complete my errands and had time to explore the mall. I send a message to @jeennicious to check when she will arrive. I had been waiting for around 30 minutes and instead of walking back and forth, I took the chance to get a massage while waiting.
Jenny arrived a few moments later and waited for me as I finished my massage. We go upstairs to find a restaurant. When I checked to see what restaurants were open, I noticed ZubuChon, which was not crowded.
I was very excited to try their Lechon. For the past few days, I've had the feeling that my cravings would be satisfied.
We entered and chose a table near the entrance. While we waited for @byaaaheeelou, we began to finalize our order.
We ordered Boneless ZubuChon, Dinuldog, and ZubuChorizo with Garlic Rice, as well as Tamarind Juice, which is my favorite drink. Just right in time when the food was served Lou arrived and we start digging in.
We savor the moment as we discuss work and personal matters. We enjoyed the food as much as we enjoyed the conversation. The portion size is adequate for sharing, and we had a big appetite, so we ordered another platter of Garlic Rice. Lol
The staff proactively asked how we liked the food, if there was enough, and if we needed more, and they asked for feedback right away so they can take note of the things they have to improve.
They know when to ask and approach their customers while maintaining professionalism and respect and preventing us from thinking they are bothering us.
Overall, I was pleased with my visit because I was able to enjoy two things: the food and the company of my friends.
I know that there are other places that offers the best lechon in Cebu but this place is surely a place to visit when you are in the City.
