Try my Mom's recipe. It hasn't failed me yet. Just knead the dough for about a few minutes, It should turn out like I shown here. And it is very soft and pliable! See!!!

Hmmm,,, I think you can, but it has all sorts of added ingredients like Xanthan gum. I never tried it.
