This is a Basque restaurant specialized in fresh grilled fish, and you order individual dishes from the menu or suggestions of the day, with an average price of €60 per person if you order wine, dessert and coffee. They currently have a ⭐4.3 rating in Google Maps and my personal rating was ⭐5.
Specifically, this restaurant is located in the small and beautiful fishing village of Guetaria, full of history (for example, it's the birthplace of the sailor Juan Sebastián Elcano and of couturier Cristóbal Balenciaga) and famous for the quality of its grilled fish and its squid, mostly caught by small fishing boats in the town.
This beautiful town has also a one Michelin starred restaurant that is only dedicated to grilled fish and its fish prices can be, in some cases, around €150 per kilo.
- Views from my table on the terrace.
- Red Basque wine BAI GORRI Crianza 2017 from Rioja (€14.57 a 500ml. bottle).
- Their logo on my table.
- The embers in which they prepare their fishes.
- Fried chillies (€8 half ration).
- Iberian ham croquette grandma's recipe (€3.25 per unit).
- Grilled loin of bonito from Guetaria with potatoes, red peppers and chili peppers (€19.75).
- A close up of the bonito loin (ordered medium rare).
Overall evaluation of the restaurant: 7.5 points out of 10.

Never had bonito, but that looks just raw.
Bonito is like red tuna but whiter and with a more delicate flavour and texture.
This concrete piece was caught in Guetaria town, Cantabrian Sea and folk, it was amazing 🙂
