Today I want to review food. The food I will review is Niku Zaru Udon by Marugame Udon. Before I start the review, I want to explain a little bit about Niku Zaru Udon. Niku Zaru Udon is one of the menus at the Marugame Udon restaurant. This is Udon with bukkake dashi soup and topping with beef sukiyaki and shaved skipjack tuna. Actually this is my first time trying this menu. Previously I have often eaten at Marugame Udon but have never tried this menu.

And honestly this is my first time after almost 2 years not eating at this restaurant. This restaurant, which is located on the Upper ground floor, is famous for always being busy with visitors. Sometimes even up to the waiting list. Alright, rather than getting curious, let's just start the review.

How about the taste and texture?

Taste
As for the taste, it's quite savory and refreshing. The seasoning is just right, not too salty and not bland either. Perfect for Japanese taste.

Texture
The shape of the noodles is quite large and the texture is quite soft and a bit chewy. The gravy is also thick like most Udon. I quite like it.

How about the price?

The price is standard, considering the portions are quite large. I had to pay IDR 82,000 or around USD 5.72 for a bowl of Niku Zaru Udon and 1 vegetable tempura.

By the way, this restaurant not only sells udon but also various kinds of tempura. One of them that I like is the shrimp tempura and the vegetable tempura.

Marugame Udon is quite famous and has many outlets throughout Indonesia. However, because I work in Gandaria City, I have only visited outlets in Gandaria city. I don't know about other outlets, but here the service is pretty good and the place is clean too. So if you want to try, I highly recommend eating at the Marugame Udon outlet which is on the Upper ground floor of Gandaria City Mall.
