Potatoes are one of the food ingredients that are very easy to find and are usually always available in the kitchen. Potatoes are an ingredient that is easy to process for various foods as the main ingredient or as an ingredient for a mixture (complement) of other main ingredients. In addition, potatoes are also one of the delicious ingredients for snacks. Especially when combined with a variety of selected ingredients that make the snack have a unique and special taste that children like. For example, like this one snack, namely cheese-filled potatoes. This menu is one of my son's favorite snacks. The savory, salty taste makes my son fall in love with this dish.

This snack is also good for consumption because it is rich in carbohydrates that are good for health. In addition, the way to make it is also very simple. Actually, in making it, I often use these two versions, first I mix potatoes and cheese (grated) in one dough, and in the second version I put cheese filling in the potato balls. This time I made the second version. For more details, let's see how to make it below.

Ingredients needed:

  • 2 potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Sufficient cheese
  • 5 tablespoons margarine

How To Make:

First: peel and wash the potatoes. Cut them into pieces so they are easy to soften when boiled.

Second: boil water, then add the potatoes and cook for 10-15 minutes or until cooked. Prick with a fork to check the level of doneness of the potatoes. If the potatoes can be pierced, it means they are cooked.

Third: then lift and transfer the potatoes into a container to be mashed. To make it easier, mash them while they are warm. Add cornstarch and salt. Stir well.

Fourth: cut the cheese into small sizes or cubes

Fifth: take a little potato dough, then flatten the dough and put the cut cheese in the middle and cover with the flour dough in a flat round shape. Do this until the dough runs out

Sixth: then the potatoes are fried again. The frying process will make the potatoes crispy on the outside but soft and tender on the inside. Heat the margarine. Fry the potato cakes until golden brown. Remove and drain.

Ready to serve to my beloved son!

The combination of potatoes and cheese never fails to pamper the taste buds. My son was very happy when I made him this snack. As I said above, this snack is very delicious and soft but crispy on the outside, the melted cheese filling inside makes this dish savory. Oh yes, for the presentation, this cheese-filled potato is also delicious when applied with tomato / chili sauce for those of you who like fried snacks that are slightly sour or spicy.
