HELLO HIVERS and FOODIES OUT THERE! Of course, if I have a travel blog, it follows that I also have a separate food blog. The restaurants I'll be featuring on my blog today are places where I've dined several times and found the flavor, ambiance, service, and price to be five stars. I understand that taste is subjective, but this is an honest review and rating from my perspective. Please correct me if you have tried one or all of them and believe I am mistaken. Again, I'd like to thank everyone for continuing to read my blogs.
1. Maki Moto Ramen Bar
I believe I mentioned in my introduction blog how much I love Japanese food. This restaurant is a hidden gem of Kapitan Pepe in Cabanatuan. It's less than 10 minutes' walk from SM Cabanatuan, or you may use Waze or Google Maps. Haha! It's less than 10 minutes' walk from SM Cabanatuan, or you may use Waze or Google Maps. Haha! We initially went there for dinner, and the ambiance was really appealing, especially the warm light coming from the aesthetic light bulbs at the yard. There were little chambers suited for 4-5 people or you could dine in their outdoor area. When we looked at the menu, I saw that all of the items were cheaper than I had expected, and the presentation was excellent; highly instagramable. Lol. Again, our order was for more than two people, so we take out what was left. This restaurant is very precious to me and my partner because we celebrate our monthly anniversary here or simply enjoy their sushi and maki.
2. Cafe La Tea (CLT)
This was my partner's recommendation while I was traveling back and forth in Cabanatuan. CLT was only seen in Nueva Ecija, making them unique, much like Ponceng. They serve pasta, sandwiches, rice meals, and pastries for dessert to go with their coffee. But believe me when I say their cupcakes are the best-sellers. The restaurant was a popular hangout for college students and their friends and partners because it was strategically positioned.
It was dinner time when I took the photos. Their service is fast as well.
3. Kellucci Cafe
This cafe is a newly discovered gem. I also support local coffee businesses, because why not? I especially enjoy their famous Einstein coffee. When I first dined here, the staff was so accommodating that they brought me cookies and fries for free. The place was aesthetically pleasing and the choice of the chairs made their place elevate more. So, if you want to try something fresh rather than your usual spanish latte and white mocha, Einstein is a must try!
Soon Su
This is a better alternative for newly established samgyup restaurants in Cabanatuan. This is located in the Kapitan Pepe neighborhood. I wanted a samgyup-style date for my birthday, and my partner recommended this location because of the variety of meat and side dishes offered, as well as the fact that it was new at the time; the place was clean, and the staff was friendly. After we ate, they served free melona-A Korean ice cream, which may have completed our Korean eating experience at their restaurant. Overall, the food was excellent, and I like the music. The pungent smell from the grill did not overtake the space, not to mention that the restaurant was air conditioned. You can go here anytime because it is also spacious enough for a big group. Enjoy!
I hope this blog can help you choose on where and what to eat. Lol. Thank you and looking forward to be with you on my next blog! 😎
