McDonald's through the eyes of a little kid... [More than a Burger]
Why, of all the fast food restaurants in Venezuela, did I just decide to review McDonald's? Well, that's because of my little partner in crime, my daughter .... Yesterday, we were in a shopping mall in our city, making some purchases and gifts for Three Kings Day (January 6th) and that's when the gigantic poster with the characters of the Sonic 3 movie hit my daughter's little fanatic head.... As an experienced mother, I already suspected something....
‘Mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy, can we go to McDonald's?’, were her words after the act I just told you about... Equally, it caught my attention that one moment we were calm, just walking through the Mall, and the next moment everything changed in a snap of the fingers.... In that sense, I replied to my daughter that I would take her, but inside me I kept telling myself that it was a valuable opportunity to make a brief review but from the point of view of a child; which in the end, is supposed to be the marketing object of the company with the yellow arches, right?
Well, we walked into McDonald's, and I immediately noticed a couple of things... Unusually, I saw a lot of foreigners in the place... Spaniards and Argentinians to be more specific. I found it curious but positive, secondly, because we were there on the 2nd of January, the New Year's celebrations had just ended, the guys who were attending the restaurant looked overwhelmed, with signs of tiredness on their faces. Honestly, doing repetitive tasks over and over again (pleonasm) must not be motivating. Added to that, there were a lot of people gathered together.
One of the girls who was cleaning the tables while other customers were finishing their meals was explaining to me that just that January 2nd, the McDonald's Happy Meal promotion with the Sonic 3 movie figurines had reached all the McDonald's in the country. They were really overwhelmed.... It's amazing how the company renews itself month after month, year after year, generation after generation... And I say this last, because it was precisely my daughter, the qiw, who diverted our path and directed it towards the big golden ‘M’... Yes, it is obvious that the marketing, the agreements and the good reputation that these guys enjoy with the children, and with us their parents, is excellent; evidently it is so... But, I also asked my little girl to describe the Happy Meal as best she could, and these were her words:
‘Mommy, the soda was delicious. I hadn't had one that made you cry in a long time, hahaha (she ordered Chinotto, her favourite. Sprite, for the other countries of the world). The burger looked small, but it was delicious and I was full after eating it. I liked that there were no little things on it that I don't like (in reference to vegetables). Just a squirt of ketchup, a squirt of mustard and a squirt of mayo. Yellow cheese and meat, just the way I like it. And the fries were delicious! But what I liked the most was the Happy Meal toy. I thought it was really nice that they let me pick it out and gave me a little hat from the movie. I really liked going to McDonald's, Mommy. And so, with simplicity but with her opinion, ends the story about the experience of going to McDonald's, in Venezuela, with my daughter? Disclaimer: we don't usually go too much to fast food places. This was an exception to the usual. However, once in a while, it's great to give them the treat they deserve and want...
es una felicidad son gustos que no siempre se puede dar jeje
it is a happiness are tastes that can not always be given jeje
Yes, @yasmarit . Besides that, we don't usually see many children opinions about their favourite restaurants. Sometimes, listen to them is important
Kids love McDonald's so much 😀😀
