It was 3 in the sunny afternoon when my friends arrived at the meet up place. We ordered frappuccino and talked for almost 2 hours. We thought of having dinner together so we can do more catching up. So, we decided to go to this nature-themed instagram-worthy cafe & restaurant in Mactan, Cebu.
AFRICA RESTAURANT
My friend suggested this restaurant because she really liked the ambience. She also wanted to support this place because she fears that they will close down since not a lot of people are going there anymore because of pandemic and m. I always see their ads on social media before but haven't got the chance to come even though it's just 10mins. from my house. lol I wish to bring my family here next time.
We were the only people there until 7pm then slowly some couples came for late dinner. You can bring your date, girlfriend or wife here for drinks and chill, ORRR you can date me. 😉🤣

They have cute displays of clothes, native bags, and jewelries. They have wine for a romantic night. The place really looks aesthetic and it feels so relaxing. There are many corners to take photos of for your instagram feed. Can I be the girl you post and brag in your feed? 😉

DINNER TIME!
So, this restaurant serves some African food but we didn't get to try it. The next time I visit, I will really order the African dishes because I am curious and it sounds interesting. But yeah, most of their best sellers and dishes in the menu were Korean fusion food. I heard the owner of the restaurant was a Korean. I wonder what's the story behind his/her restaurant's name. 🤗
Here's what we had for dinner:
Kimchi Fried Rice, Korean style barbeque, Vegetable Salad, Shrimp spring roll with peanut sauce.
I really like kimchi and this was my first time to try kimchi fried rice. I personally like it but I wish they put more vegetable and chili. But I sure will try to cook it on my own! The salad was pretty good too, I liked the dressing and the serving was good for 2-3 people. The pork barbeque had a distinct taste and it was sprinkled with crushed peanuts. It was also my first time to see peanuts mixed in the barbeque but it was a nice combination. I didn't get to taste the shrimp spring roll but my friends said it was good too. Thankfully we got to order delicious food. I can say it was pricey there but as long as you got the right food then it's worth it. hahaha
We also shared this dessert and it was just enough for the 5 of us to try. It had 2 waffles, topped with mango and banana, chocolate ice cream, whipped cream, cream cheese, chocolate syrup and confectioners' sugar. If I had the choice to add 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream then this dessert would be perfect! Yum! But yeah, definitely need to try making this on my own too so I can put as much as I want. 😋

We had a great dining experience there. The waitress was very friendly and accommodating. She would already know what we need when we were just about to ask. 🤣 The food were so good. They have fast wifi connection to upload our stories. The place was beautiful and it had a pretty chill vibe. We will surely go back to this restaurant and definitely stay longer so we can try other dishes and also their drinks.
