Grato volver a encontrarnos y unirnos a través de una receta...
Tenemos un amigo que cada vez que viaja a su tierra natal (los llanos), nos trae pescado y, valga la redundancia pescados por él mismo en nuestros ríos venezolanos.


¡La palometa, grisáceo, semi-graso, la barriguita le sabe a chicharrón!.

We have a friend who every time he travels to his native land (the plains), he brings us fish and, worth the redundancy, he caught himself in our Venezuelan rivers. The pomfret, grayish, semi-fatty, the belly tastes like pork rinds!

Ingredientes para el pescado:

Dos palometas.
Aceite para freír.
Sal a gusto.

Ingredients for the fish:
two pomfret.
Oil for frying.
Salt to taste.

Ingredientes para el ensalada:

1/2 pepino lavado y en rodajas.
4 hojas de lechuga, desinfectadas y cortadas a groso modo con las manos.
Dos tomates pontones lavados y en rodajas.
1/2 cebolla en rodajas finas.
Un trocito de zanahoria, lavada y rallada.
Aceite un chorrito.
Sal y vinagre al gusto.

Ingredients for the salad:
1/2 cucumber washed and sliced.
4 lettuce leaves, disinfected and roughly cut with your hands.
Two pontoon tomatoes washed and sliced.
1/2 onion thinly sliced.
A slice of carrot, washed and grated.
Oil a splash.
Salt and vinegar to taste.

Ingredientes y la yuca:

600 gramos de yuca, pelada, lavada y picada en trozos.
Aceite para freír.
Sal a gusto.

Ingredients and cassava:
600 grams of cassava, peeled, washed and chopped into pieces.

Preparación de la ensalada: colocar todo lo picado en la ensaladera, agregar el vinagre, aceite, sal a gusto. Integrar todo muy bien, reservar en nevera.

Preparación de la yuca: salcochar en una olla con agua y sal, no tan blanda, para luego cortarla en bastoncitos. Freír en una sartén con aceite bien caliente hasta dorar.

Preparación del pescado: me lo traen ya sin tripas y además "tasajeado" (son cortes ó ranuras finas que se le hacen con el cuchillo en el lomo del pescado que facilita comerlo, sobre todo si es muy espinoso), sólo le quito las aletas y cola. Les pongo sal. Van al sartén con aceite caliente hasta dorar por ambos lados.

Nota: siempre tenemos yuca en casa, sembramos y cosechamos todo el año, después de lavarla y cortarla la guardo en bolsas en el congelador, duran muchísimo tiempo.
