Sushi WAWA: Perth, AUSTRALIA

My kids are obsessed with sushi... and they are even happier when it arrives on a sushi train! Sure, I sort of like sushi... but for me, it will always take second place to ramen or any of the other properly cooked Japanese food.

But, when we are at my parents... my mother will make sure that we will visit as many sushi places as possible so that her grandkids get their fill of all the sushi that they can eat. And well, she does know some very good places!

Sushi WAWA apparently has one of the longest sushi trains around... which I'm not sure is a great selling point as that doesn't really say much about the food quality!

The Space

But for some reason... it is a huge hit, and there was a nice sized line for the lunch hour! So, quite possibly... longer is better?

There are outdoor seats, but on a hot Perth summer day... you will probably want to sit inside. And the train doesn't go outside!

The Menu

Well... there is a tablet where you can order menu items... or there is the grab the places as they pass you option as well!

The Food

There is something quite good about the busy-ness of the place. It means that all the sushi is being cycled through quite quickly... and it does stay fresh. Things are taken off the train almost as fast as they go on! So, sometime, you will need to make a special order to get the dish that really want!

As always, we are going to get the edemame beans and the gyoza. Both of which are hits with the kids... and also with the parents! Oddly enough, they are much less of a hit when we do them at home...

... but I still have to have my ramen! And this was a nice deliciously brothy version! Not particularly large, but just the perfect size to complement all the sushi that was also coming in!

Hehe... and having desserts on the train is ALSO a great idea! Although, it does make it a touch harder to stop the kids from trying to jump straight to the dessert part of the meal.

The Experience

Well, there was a bit of a line and a wait before getting seated... but once you are seated, this is a great place to eat at! Of course, most sushi trains tend to get a bit more expensive than just grabbing a couple of rolls... but you do have the kid-like experience of being just able to pull things off the train!

... and the quality WAS really good as well! Definitely a place to return back to!

My daughter love sushi so much too, yay well cooked ramen or traditional Japanese cuisine it's good too. By the way this place looks like a nice place 😍
