San Churro Chocolatier: Mandurah, AUSTRALIA

San Churro Chocolatier: Mandurah, AUSTRALIA.jpg

After a bit of a ferry ride where we looking around for dolphins, we had said that we would have a little treat for the girls.... the ferry company had a deal with San Churro that meant that we could get a discount there, but the little one really really wanted ice-cream. But it was already bloody freezing and windy, and we were on a boat that made things worse... so, we pulled parent privilege and over-ruled her... besides, the older one wanted churros anyway. She had remembered them from Spain, and the little one didn't remember what they were!

The Space

Nice and cosy inside! Actually, that might have had more to do with the shelter from the windiness of the outside... but none the less, it was a nice respite from the elements! Decent amount of spacing even though there was mostly seating in the middle of the room and not against the windows!

The Menu

Heh... don't come here if you are expecting something healthy... you are definitely getting your sweet cravings fulfilled and then some! Everything on the menu is a bit Spanish inspired... although, my kids ended up choosing the radioactive blue drink... what is it with kids and wanting blue things to eat... that is supposed to be a poison marker!

The Food

Yum... not many churros, but we can't eat that many before we start to feel sick anyway! We had a caramel sauce and a chocolate sauce... honestly, the Spanish really know how to do their desserts, and even though this was far from its homeland... it was still very tasty!

Sadly... the coffee wasn't quite as good... although, I do like the chocolate flakes on top!

The Experience

No fuss dessert experience... comfy seating and fast enough service. This isn't going to be a fine dining experience, but it is great for getting inside out of the coastal wind and having some warm and sweet to fill your insides!
