We are about to enter Halloween week and, as tradition in many countries, people prepare with their costumes, their sweets, their songs and above all, with their recipes.

Although it is a tradition that, from the culinary point of view, in Latin America has not developed as in the rest of the Anglo-Saxon countries from which it originates, it also has its followers.

In Europe it is celebrated quite a lot even in countries that do not practice English as a native language.

For example, in Italy, the country where I lived for many years. And being Italy the country where cooking is an art, it is obvious that recipes dedicated to Halloween could not be absent,

I will try to show you some that I have personally prepared.

Estamos por entrar en la semana de Halloween y como marca la tradición en muchos países la gente se prepara con sus disfraces, sus dulces, sus canciones y sobre todo, con sus recetas.

Si bien es una tradición que, desde el punto de vista culinario, en America Latina no se ha desarrollado como en el resto de los países anglosajones de la cuál es originaria, tiene también sus adeptos.

En Europa se festeja bastante aún en los países que no practican el inglés como idioma nativo.

Por ejemplo en Italia país en el que viví por muchos años. Y siendo Italia el país donde la cocina es un arte, es obvio que las recetas dedicadas a Halloween no podían faltar,

Trataré de mostrarles algunas que he preparado personalmente.

  • 225 g butter
  • 225 g sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 225 g flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoon yeast
  • 2 pinches of salt
  • 6 teaspoons of warm water
  • 6 teaspoons of cocoa

  • 225 gr de mantequilla
  • 225 gr de azúcar
  • 4 huevos
  • 225 gr de harina
  • 1 1/2 cucharadita de levadura
  • 2 pizcas de sal
  • 6 cucharaditas de agua tibia
  • 6 cucharaditas de cacao

  • Start by preparing the muffins: with the planetary mixer, whip the butter and sugar until you get a soft and creamy cream.
  • Then add the beaten eggs, baking powder and salt.
  • Mix the ingredients again and then add the dry ingredients (flour and cocoa) well sieved to the mixture.

  • Empieza por preparar los muffins: con la batidora planetaria, batir la mantequilla y el azúcar hasta obtener una crema suave y cremosa.
  • Luego agrega los huevos batidos, el polvo de hornear y la sal.
  • Mezclar nuevamente los ingredientes y luego agregar los ingredientes secos (harina y cacao) bien tamizados a la mezcla.

  • Using an ice cream dispenser, put the mixture in the muffin cups and bake for 15 minutes at 180 °.
  • When they are cooked, take them out of the oven and let them cool.
  • Meanwhile, prepare everything you need for the decorations: remove the two biscuits held together by the milk cream.
  • Pay particular attention to ensure that the milk cream remains firmly attached to one side of the biscuit.
  • You will thus obtain an array of black circles with the cream circle inside.
  • Put the jam in a small bowl and mix it with a fork to make it more homogeneous and easy to spread.
  • Then put a drop of jam on the muffin and place two biscuits by pressing lightly to glue them.
  • Now take the chocolate bonbons of the same color and place them in the center of the milk cream.
  • Now look for all the chocolate bonbons with the orange coating and insert one in the center of the muffin, under the two eyes so that it looks like the owl's beak.

  • Con un dispensador de helado, poner la mezcla en los moldes para muffins y hornear durante 15 minutos a 180°.
  • Cuando estén cocidas, sácalas del horno y déjalas enfriar.
  • Mientras tanto, prepara todo lo necesario para la decoración: retira las dos galletas unidas por la crema de leche.
  • Presta especial atención para asegurarse de que la crema de leche permanezca firmemente adherida a un lado de la galleta.
  • Obtendrás así una serie de círculos negros con el círculo crema en su interior.
  • Pon la mermelada en un bol pequeño y mézclala con un tenedor para que quede más homogénea y fácil de untar.
  • A continuación, ponga una gota de mermelada sobre el muffin y coloque dos galletas presionando ligeramente para pegarlas.
  • Ahora toma los bombones de chocolate del mismo color y colócalos en el centro de la crema de leche.
  • Ahora busca todos los bombones de chocolate con la capa naranja e inserta uno en el centro del muffin, debajo de los dos ojos para que parezca el pico del búho.
