Hello everyone!
Yesterday a lot of our family came to the house because my husband's grandmother passed away. Grandma died exactly the day after her 80th birthday. It's true that lately Grandma has been suffering a lot because she can't move completely after falling 3 weeks ago. Grandma died without suffering any pain except from the pain of a fall on her hipbone.

Honestly, this is a hard thing for me because my grandmother is a very good person. He accepted me even though I was not his biological grandson. Grandma is always my story mate when I'm at my in-laws' house. He always asks me every day, maybe it's one thing that will be a memory now and in the future. Grandma became an important part after I got married.

So, all the families from the village came to visit us who were grieving. Especially my mother-in-law. All the family gathered for 3 days at our house, even though it was very crowded but this could make us a little happy because we were accompanied by loved ones.

One of our family, there is a very good cook. Her name is Aunt Inong. He is the younger brother of my father-in-law, in our family, he is the person who has always been an important part of filling our empty stomachs. His reliable hands are extraordinary in processing food, especially village food.

Because Aunt Inong really loves my husband, she knows that my husband really likes a very good village food. This food will always be there when we go home. Chicken Anyang is the name, in my opinion this is one of the healthiest foods that is delicious.

I told Aunt Inong, teach me how to make this dish, and she was happy to share this recipe with me. I studied and recorded everything he said. Are you curious about the Chicken Anyang recipe? Let's see the following recipe:

How to cook Chicken Anyang:

  • Roast coconut until brown. Be careful to roast too dark because it will make the taste bitter. Puree the roasted coconut with a 'alung' or in a blender.

This meal is just an instant devoured by the whole family. This is our favorite dish and is very rarely cooked as it requires a very difficult technique to learn. Maybe I'll try again next time so I can be good at making chicken anyang, so my husband loves it more *lol.

I love seeing these village food posts; so authentic. The charcoal grill was very interesting to see. I'm assuming that once the coals become very hot, you simply push them under the chicken and complete the cooking process.

The spices are incredible to see. So colorful and bright! I can only imagine how god this tastes...

Thank you for sharing this post!

Cheers!
